Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is searching for adjunct professors to teach Horticultural Sciences during Fall 2023 semester.

The courses are:
1. Hort 135 Landscape Design,
2. Hort240 Turfgrass Management 11,
3. Hort265 Landscape Construction.

The fall semester starts Monday August 21st, 2023 and ends December 15th, 2023.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticultural Sciences with specialization in Turf Management or Landscape Horticulture
  • Minimum of three years landscape horticulture industry experience, preferably in the landscape design/construction/turf management/sports field management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Horticultural Sciences or
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Horticultural Sciences or PhD in Horticultural Sciences, with specialization in Landscape Horticulture or Turf Management
  • Experience teaching Horticultural Sciences at a College or University
