Position Summary: The Automotive Technology program is seeking an experienced technician to teach entry level courses in electrical, engine performance, chassis systems, engine repair and other subjects. This is a part-time teaching position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and five years full-time experience as an automobile technician OR
  • Bachelor's degree and three years full-time experience as an automobile technician
  • Current ASE certification in G1, A1-A8 or OEM equivalent - maintaining ASE credentials are required for job retention. ASE L1 required to teach Engine Performance courses
  • Demonstrate a strong ability and competence in the assigned subject matter
  • This position demands a positive team player that comes to class organized and prepared

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Course development and design. Previous teaching of Automotive Technology at the high school or college levels, OEM training centers; part-time or full-time
  • Current ASE certification in G1, A1-A8 or OEM equivalent including ASE L1 to teach Engine Performance courses
  • Previous Automotive Technology teaching experience at the high school or college level
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national industry partners. Possess ability or prior experience in learning management systems
