The Dining Service Assistant - Cashier performs duties consistent with food court operations including: operating POS cash registers according to cash handling guidelines; preparing, stocking, and serving food and beverages safely and accurately according to local, state, and departmental guidelines; exhibits a high level of customer service and communication; arrives on time and ready to work; exhibits the shared values of the College.

Job Duties
|
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- 1. Accountability – performs tasks with the best interest of the business in mind. Performance is acceptable when: a. Operates POS cash registers accurately and consistently in accordance with departmental and concept standards. b. Stocks, monitors, and reports waste and overproduction of food and food-related items. c. Follows standards outlined in employee handbook.
- 2. Food Quality & Safety – follows local, state, and departmental guidelines for food handling and quality according to concept requirements. Performance is acceptable when: a. Product is properly rotated and handled according to departmental standards. b. Quality standards are met for cleanliness and accuracy c. Adheres to state, city, and department rules and guidelines.
- 3. Communication – ensures customers and coworkers are informed of pertinent information at all levels. Performance is acceptable when: a. High-quality customer service is provided consistently b. Understands many aspects of products and services the area provides; c. Demonstrates ability to follow and relay written and verbal instructions
