Geology & Physical Geography Senior Tutor, SRC Overland Park Main Campus
Tutor students in various Geology and Physical Geography courses taught at Johnson County Community College. Other responsibilities include referring students to appropriate resources, assist students with computer software necessary for the courses, help with the basic math skills to solve problems in these courses and other duties as requested by the supervisor. Tutor students in geology/physical geography - help students understand concepts in geology and physical geography by relating the course material to what they already know, using real life examples and reviewing the math skills required; refer & aid students in proper use of resources- provide assistance to look up reliable information online as well as in textbooks; assist in daily activities of the center- provide assistance in checking out books, abide by the policies of the center, respect diversity among students and other tutors; follow good work ethics- exhibit good work ethics by being reliable and dedicated.

Work will involve mowing and trimming, weeding and watering shrub and flower beds, mowing and weeding of the native grass areas and tree maintenance. Sustainability Intern Overland Park Main Campus
Support the college’s goal of becoming a zero waste campus where diversion of materials from reaching the landfill is at or beyond 90%. In order to achieve this goal this position will perform various logistical functions, including sorting, loading, and moving materials, making deliveries and pick-ups on and off campus, serving as a support for surplus property, recycling, compost, and other waste diversion programs. In addition to these functions this position will also assist in maintaining the Center’s facilities and assets. Academic Theatre Technical Director Overland Park Main Campus
The Academic Theatre Technical Director is recommended for appointment by the Dean of Arts, Design, Humanities & Social Sciences and is charged with the Production Management and Technical Direction of Theatre Department events. This charge includes the integration and mentoring of students into the production process. Some design experience in areas of lighting, projections, master electrician or video is preferred.

The director provides leadership for and management of the International Education Office, including program planning and implementation. The director oversees budget development and management, institutional partnerships, international exchanges and grants, student study abroad programs, international curriculum initiatives and grant projects, and other activities that contribute to global and international awareness and knowledge at JCCC. Programming also includes the Global Awareness Program and supporting faculty/staff international travel. The director designs and administers faculty-led study abroad programs, including managing the program proposal review, developing budgets, and working with partner providers.
