Pay Range: $20.47-$26.35 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: The Accessibility Technology Specialist supports digital accessibility for Instruction, with a focus on video captioning, audio description, image alt text, and document remediation, among others. Works with faculty and staff on digital accessibility support and provides training. Excellent verbal and written communication and advanced problem-solving skills are needed. Collaboration with the team members within educational technology, access services and the JCCC community is crucial to this position.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in use of a variety of computer programs and understanding of Learning Management Systems.
- Must be able to multitask, work with interruptions, and possess excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- One to three years experience in more than one of the following areas: classroom instruction, computer training, curriculum development, digital communications, distance learning, graphic and interface design, hardware/software supporting a multi-platform environment, instructional technology, instructional design, interactive media programming, programming, system design and analysis, Web authoring and workshop development.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Analyzes the files and content in online classes and works to proactively communicate with professors regarding the need for accessible online course content.
- Communication with Educational Technology/Distance Learning and faculty regarding accessibility needs in specific LMS courses is done effectively.
- Coordinates closed captioning of videos and audio descriptions needed for instructional accommodations.
- Performs other duties as directed.
