Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology

The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis.
Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller.
Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential.
Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.
SRC Tutor I - Anatomy & Physiology

The A&P tutor provides tutoring for students in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and Medical Terminology courses. In addition to that, the tutor conducts review sessions, leads group discussions and help with learning Anatomy models.

Adjunct Instructor - Health and Wellness

The Health and Wellness Department is seeking adjunct faculty to teach credit physical education and wellness activity courses within the department curriculum. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants to fill several classes. These classes vary by semester but may include any activity courses we offer. Including by not limited to: Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Weight Training, Self Defense etc. These courses are taught every semester and may vary with regards to time and days each semester.

Non - Credit Continuing Education Instructor - Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to conduct non-credit training classes. In this part-time role, instructors will assist in creating and updating content, teach non-credit students how to safely operate various pieces of heavy equipment, and be a liaison with off-site externship sites. The Student Admissions Ambassador at JCCC serves as a primary receptionist by greeting all guests and visiting campus community members. The Admissions Ambassador ensures that visitors are acknowledged and that they feel welcome. The Admissions Ambassadors support the Recruitment Coordinator and recruitment team. An integral component of the job is working as part of a team of students and recruitment staff to provide quality tours and visit experiences for all college guests. The Admissions Ambassador is a highly visible student employee who will have a vast array of knowledge about the Student Services and Engagement as well as academic and support programs across campus to provide accurate information to visitors. The Admissions Ambassadors will be a part of a collaborative recruitment department that supports coworkers by utilizing available computer systems and technology to maintain accurate databases and information for reporting purposes.

CDL A Instructor – Truck Driver Trainer

Johnson County Community College is seeking experienced CDL Truck Drivers to conduct CDL training classes. JCCC offers commercial truck driver training courses to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A. In this role, we instruct people how to properly conduct pre-trip inspections and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. This is a part-time position. Number of workdays per month are flexible. Hours are based on course schedules and could include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as available.
