Starting Salary Range:

Adjunct base rate is $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour depending on degree and teaching experience and in accordance with the adjunct pay table listed in the Master Agreement.

  • Adjunct professors assigned to Integration Lecture Lab Instruction like studio photography classes average pay is between $6,300 - $7,400.

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Photography, Film, and Media Studies. JCCC is searching for a pool of applicants for an adjunct studio teaching position that will support the Film and Media Studies program through courses in Filmmaking, Media Studies, and Expanded / Experimental Media. The program emphasizes conceptual development alongside technical skills and encourages experimentation and cross-disciplinary work.

Required Qualifications:

  • MFA in Expanded Media, Filmmaking, Video, Digital Media, or directly related field is required.
  • Qualified candidate will have the ability to teach concept forward studio projects in analog and digital photography.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
