CONNECT Peer Mentor Overland Park Main Campus
The CONNECT Peer Mentor serves as a peer support for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are enrolled in the CONNECT Supported Education Program. The mentor position is key to the success of CONNECT students learning to navigate the campus, learning social skills and becoming connected with the resources of JCCC. Similar positions would include student ambassadors.

Assistant Professor, Chemistry Overland Park Main Campus

Adjunct Faculty, Fire Science Overland Park Main Campus
Adjunct faculty serve multiple roles in the Fire Science Department and are expected to serve as teachers, mentors, and facilitators. Faculty are expected to assist in developing the semester schedules, monitoring and reporting grades, ensuring class safety and proper use and storage of department equipment. Adjunct faculty are responsible for special projects that provide job shadowing opportunities, simulations, and active learning environment training for students. Adjunct will be expected to drive department vehicle and trailer with fire equipment to and from trainings.
Lab Instructor Fire Science Overland Park Main Campus
Faculty members are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in each of the following areas throughout their employment at the college. Lab Instructors teach requisite firefighting skills to prepare students for third party state firefighter certification pertaining to four core curriculums (Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Fire I, Fire II). Lab Instructors work with, teach, and maintain fire equipment (chain saws, ladders, breathing apparatus, personal protective gear, extrication equipment) to ensure students receive quality and emergency services operations and delivery. Ability to interpret and evaluate theories in the field or discipline and connect subject matter with related fields. Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies. Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs. Create and/or modify course revisions appropriate to current Fire and Emergency Services principles and delivery methods. Employ available instructional technology when appropriate. Serve as proctor on the Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT). Required Qualifications:
CPAT Proctor and Trainer Overland Park Main Campus
Proctor will proctor and train potential candidates in the National Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Proctors will properly set up the eight CPAT stations and equipment prior to the test, accurately, safely, and confidentially proctor the test and accurately document the outcome to ensure test paperwork is properly handled.  Demonstrate - will train and demonstrate potential candidates on the eight skill stations and equipment of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Proctors will properly set up the eight CPAT stations and equipment prior to the test, validate the operation of the skills stations, and the testing conditions prior to the test, demonstrate the skills stations.

Recommend, interpret, and locate library-offered information resources of all types to help faculty and students further teaching and learning.
Museum Guard Overland Park Main Campus
Welcome guests to the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (NMOCA) and provide information on current exhibitions or special events. Observe visitors within NMOCA to ensure protection of artworks on view. Maintain order in assigned areas by informing guests of Museum Rules/Policies in a confident, calm, and friendly manner. Direct visitors to galleries, restrooms, and other points of interest. Successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Registrar. Must have weekday and occasional evening availability.
Assistant Professor, Mathematics (9-month) Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is a comprehensive educational institution that values outstanding instruction. A 9-month faculty member in the mathematics department at JCCC is expected to perform the tasks as outlined in the 9-Month faculty position description. All math department faculty must be able to prepare for and teach mathematics courses, hold office hours, and perform other duties expected of full-time faculty employed at JCCC. Evening English Connection Instructor Center of Grace
Provide English instruction to students who are transitioning from basic life-skill English classes into GED-level academic coursework, college transition or higher career placement. Instruction will be in reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary development, civics, and digital literacy at an intermediate to low-advanced level. Development of daily lesson plans to keep student attention, adhere to state and local academic standards and increase student success. Facilitate standardized testing for benchmarking. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.
Admissions Ambassador- CAV Leader Overland Park Main Campus
The Student Admissions Ambassador or CAV Leader at JCCC serves as a primary receptionist by greeting all guests and visiting campus community members. The Admissions Ambassador ensures that visitors are acknowledged and that they feel welcome. The Admissions Ambassadors support the Recruitment Coordinator and recruitment team. An integral component of the job is working as part of a team of students and recruitment staff to provide quality tours and visit experiences for all college guests. The Admissions Ambassador is a highly visible student employee who will have a vast array of knowledge about the Student Services and Engagement as well as academic and support programs across campus to provide accurate information to visitors. The Admissions Ambassadors will be a part of a collaborative recruitment department that supports coworkers by utilizing available computer systems and technology to maintain accurate databases and information for reporting purposes.
Program Manager, College Now Overland Park Main Campus
Support the implementation of accreditation standards to ensure the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) College Now program adheres to National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnership (NACEP) guidelines and meets Higher Learning Commission faculty requirements. Collections Specialist Overland Park Main Campus
The Collections Specialist is primarily responsible for internal collection efforts within the Bursar’s Office. Responsibilities include communicating with students, companies, and collection agencies to aid in the recovery of past due student and non-student accounts, managing holds, and counseling students on payment options. The Collections Specialist also assists the Billing & AR Coordinator with external collection efforts and reporting.
