Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The faculty member is expected to demonstrate competence in mastery of subject matter, professional development, teaching performance, evaluation of student learning, participation in college/division/program activities, support college policies and procedures, and contribution to the growth and enhancement of college mission and programs. This position demands a positive team player, with leadership and project management skills. Railroad Safety Instructor - Non-Credit Courses (NARS) Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is seeking experienced railroad professionals to serve as instructors for non-credit courses offered through the National Academy of Railroad Sciences (NARS). Instructors will teach classroom and hands-on training in areas such as Maintenance of Way Operating Rules (MWOR), Shortline Engineer Training, Industrial Rail Operations Training (IROT), and related safety programs. This role is critical to ensuring participants meet industry standards for safe and efficient rail operations. This position requires travel to client locations.

Adjunct Japanese Professor Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a Japanese adjunct professor to substitute and/or teach Elementary and Intermediate level Japanese language courses in the evening on Zoom or in person. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours per semester in Japanese or will serve as a substitute for day and/or evening courses. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for Japanese language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
