Sustainability Intern Overland Park Main Campus
Support the college’s goal of becoming a zero waste campus where diversion of materials from reaching the landfill is at or beyond 90%. In order to achieve this goal this position will perform various logistical functions, including sorting, loading, and moving materials, making deliveries and pick-ups on and off campus, serving as a support for surplus property, recycling, compost, and other waste diversion programs. In addition to these functions this position will also assist in maintaining the Center’s facilities and assets. The position requires a hardworking, detail-orientated, focused and enthusiastic individual.
Adjunct Professor, Environmental Science and Sustainable Agriculture Overland Park Main Campus
Master's degree in agroecology, food systems or a sustainable agriculture related field. Or, a Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field. Or, Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Environmental Science, agroecology, food systems, or a sustainable agriculture related field. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience to teach either or both environmental science and sustainable agriculture undergraduate courses. Adjunct Assistant Professor, Chemistry Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time faculty adjunct position in the Chemistry Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II or Organic Chemistry. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach face-to-face starting in Jan 2025 for the spring semester. Tutor I - Nursing & A&P Olathe Health Education Center (OHEC)
Tutor students in the LPN program & Anatomy & Physiology course. Tutor will provide support to students in the LPN program and A&P courses in OHEC with content material, help students with critical thinking skills, provide assistance with clinicals, and prepare for exams. Students have been found struggling to connect their subject matter with real life scenarios. The tutor will provide coaching to help students connect content matter with real life scenarios which is key to students in LPN program.

JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time astronomy position in the Astronomy Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Fundamentals of Astronomy or Astronomy. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach face-to-face and/or online starting in Jan 2025 for the spring semester. Director of Business Solutions Overland Park Main Campus
The Director of Business Solutions is a leadership position that is responsible for managing the development of corporate training programs in response to client needs. This position is primarily responsible for leading the Business Solutions team in achieving LERN benchmarks including gross revenue and net profit targets set by the CE branch. This position has ultimate responsibility for proactively generating demand for corporate training, coordination of sales efforts, curriculum and program development, and administration and delivery of custom training programs to a wide variety of organizations. This position manages critical relationships and corporate training solutions. The Director of Business Solutions is responsible for identifying partnerships with external stakeholders in a manner that brings mutual benefit to all parties.
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Communication Studies Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching assignments in the Communication Studies Department beginning fall 2024. Instructors are needed for teaching on-campus, face-to-face classes. The biggest need is for morning and early afternoon classes. Classes may include Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Workplace Skills. Candidates must have the ability to use the Canvas LMS for syllabus and grades.
Office Assistant, Nail Technology West Park (WPK)
Perform receptionist duties and office support tasks for the nail technology program while displaying excellent customer service. Assist with organizing and record keeping of supply inventory. Serve as backup to the Regnier Testing Center.
Sustainable Agriculture Intern Overland Park Main Campus
This internship is designed to provide a student at JCCC practical experience working at Johnson County Community College's Farm as well as with JCCC's Center for Sustainability on a variety of projects. Successful applicant must be willing to do farm work as well as office work.
Video Systems Engineer Overland Park Main Campus
Coordinate and implement the design, installation, integration, maintenance, and technical support of all department technology, including video, Radio Frequency (RF), fiber optic, and data network infrastructure. Configure LAN and WAN networks to support video transmission; provide computer and networking support within the department; and provide technical support for digital signage and associated Emergency Alert System (EAS), healthcare simulation and journalism labs, athletics, and videoconferencing support to other campus departments.
