Position Summary: Focuses on daily operations in the food court from a Production perspective. Assists and leads Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, and BLVD Burgers operations in the food court by operating cooking equipment consistently and safely while guiding others to the same standard. Performs tasks with the best interest of the business in mind as well as honoring established standards. Ensures team members are clear on contractual and departmental expectations for product and behaviors. Follows contract, local, state, and departmental guidelines for food handling and quality according to operational requirements to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary operation. Builds and assists in building schedules, trainings, and guiding PTR and PTT staff in accordance with requirements of each operation.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively with public and diverse college community.

Preferred Qualifications: Additional education in culinary arts and/or food management.
One year supervisory experience in high volume food service in a college setting.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Operations – assists and supervises Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, and BLVD Burgers operations in the food court by operating cooking equipment consistently and safely while guiding others to the same standard. Performance is acceptable when: a. Products are served consistently according to each venue’s standards. b. Equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer’s guidelines. c. Adequately trained staff are available to work in all areas.
  • Accountability – performs tasks with the best interest of the business in mind as well as honoring the Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, and BLVD Burgers standards. Performance is acceptable when: a. Builds and assists in building orders according to pars and anticipated business levels, ideally keeping no more than one week’s worth of sales in inventory. b. Tracks and reports waste; monitors use by dates; and minimizes overproduction across all operations. c. Understands and exhibits best practices in production and behavior while guiding staff to work and behave in ways that maximize customer satisfaction. 
  • Communication – ensures team members are clear on contractual and departmental expectations for product and behaviors. Performance is acceptable when: a. Highest quality customer service is provided consistently, ensuring employee relations meet the same standards. b. Understands all aspects of products and service for contractual and departmental operations. c. Demonstrates consistent ability to follow and relay written and verbal instructions to 
  • Food Quality & Safety – follows contract, local, state, and departmental guidelines for food handling and quality according to operational requirements to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary operation. Performance is acceptable when: a. Product is properly rotated and handled according to contract and departmental standards, with awareness of notifications from purveyors on quality and safety. b. Follow through on training with staff to ensure everyone is aware of FIFO procedures, use by dates, and general quality indicators. c. Monitors product as it is served so that quality standards for contractual and departmental operations is maintained.
  • Training & Support – builds and assists in building schedules, trainings, and guiding PTR and PTT staff in accordance with requirements of each operation. Performance is acceptable when: a. Demonstrates ability to lead staff in performance of daily duties associated with the food court. b. Shows ability to train and guide others according to departmental and contractual standards. c. Consistently monitors performance of employees in operations to help them meet the expectations of providing high quality customer service and delivering excellent quality product in a timely fashion.
