Adjunct German Professor Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a German adjunct professor to teach Elementary and Intermediate level German language. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. JCCC is looking for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Foreign Language Department to serve as a substitute or teach Elementary and Intermediate German in the day or evening in the summer, spring, or fall semesters in person and live online (Zoom). The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. The successful applicant for this job may teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours or serve as a substitute professor. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for German language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates will be interviewed and will be asked to demonstrate a 30-minute class in person or on Zoom.
Adjunct Assistant Professor - Communication Studies Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching assignments in the Communication Studies Department beginning spring 2027. Instructors are needed for teaching on-campus, face-to-face classes. The current need is for morning and early afternoon classes. Online course assignments are not available for this position. Classes may include Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Personal Communication and Workplace Skills. Candidates must have the ability to use the Canvas LMS for syllabus and grades.
Accident Scene Management Instructor Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is searching for an Accident Scene Management Instructor. Instructors for this position will deliver motorcycle-specific accident scene management training using the accredited Road Guardians curriculum. As required by the curriculum, all instructors must have at minimum an EMS certification and actively ride motorcycles. This position may require travel to deliver to training across the state of Kansas.
Creative Marketing Asset Specialist Overland Park Main Campus
The Creative Marketing Asset Specialist is responsible for the governance, organization, and lifecycle management of marketing and communication assets. Manages the storage, organization, and access to branded collateral — including images, videos, logos, icons, and content files. Ensure assets are easily discoverable, accurately tagged, consistently maintained, and efficiently used. Collaborates with department peers to streamline workflows, support automation, optimize workflows, and manage alignment across integrated platforms and systems. Performs design and production tasks such as daily quality checks, asset formatting, version control, resizing, and template creation, to support efficient workflows. Supports brand consistency, asset accountability, copyright compliance, and effective use of digital asset management technologies. This position reports to Director, Strategic Marketing Operations.
Lab Coordinator, Chemistry Overland Park Main Campus
The Chemistry Department is looking to hire a full-time Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator. Duties include but not limited to the following: Prepare chemical reagents and laboratory materials for each lab and all lab practical exams for all courses, including Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Communicate regularly with faculty, the Chair of Chemistry and the Dean of Science. Maintain adequate stock supplies, submit orders, and keep computer database of purchases. Maintain equipment in operational condition. Maintain chemical and equipment inventory. Keep lab areas clean and organized. Supervise federal work study and part-time lab aides. Manage inventory and sale of used lab coats and goggles. Manage and prepare chemistry lab waste for storage and disposal. Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Digital Accessibility Librarian Overland Park Main Campus
The Digital Accessibility Librarian role supports Billington Library through the evaluation of library resources in compliance with ADA Title II and WCAG standards. The librarian works collaboratively with colleagues across the library and the college in the evaluation of resources. The librarian will analyze VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) for library resources and determine readiness for meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The librarian will perform accessibility assessments of diverse digital materials, including e-books, databases, streaming media, and website content, using established checklists and guidelines. The librarian will identify and document common WCAG and ADA Title II non-compliance issues such as missing alternative text, insufficient color contrast, incorrect reading order, and improper heading structures. This position reports to the Collection Development Librarian.
