Adjunct German Professor

The Foreign Language department is seeking a German adjunct professor to teach Elementary and Intermediate level German language. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus.
JCCC is looking for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Foreign Language Department to serve as a substitute or teach Elementary and Intermediate German in the day or evening in the summer, spring, or fall semesters in person and live online (Zoom). The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division.
The successful applicant for this job may teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours or serve as a substitute professor. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned.
Additional responsibilities:
Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for German language students.
Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives.
Participate in on-campus events promoting languages.
Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training.

Candidates will be interviewed and will be asked to demonstrate a 30-minute class in person or on Zoom.
Adjunct Assistant Professor - Communication Studies

Collaborates with department peers to streamline workflows, support automation, optimize workflows, and manage alignment across integrated platforms and systems. Lab Coordinator, Chemistry

The Chemistry Department is looking to hire a full-time Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator. Duties include but not limited to the following: Prepare chemical reagents and laboratory materials for each lab and all lab practical exams for all courses, including Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Communicate regularly with faculty, the Chair of Chemistry and the Dean of Science. Maintain adequate stock supplies, submit orders, and keep computer database of purchases. The Digital Accessibility Librarian role supports Billington Library through the evaluation of library resources in compliance with ADA Title II and WCAG standards. The librarian works collaboratively with colleagues across the library and the college in the evaluation of resources. The librarian will analyze VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) for library resources and determine readiness for meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The librarian will perform accessibility assessments of diverse digital materials, including e-books, databases, streaming media, and website content, using established checklists and guidelines.
