Motorcycle Instructor Overland Park Main Campus
The MSF Rider Coach is responsible for participant learning in the classroom and on the training range for the basic rider and the experienced rider course in accordance with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) standards. Responsibilities include classroom and range instruction, supervision of a range aide, and assuring safety standards are maintained. Instructors must maintain required certifications.
Student Wellness Group Exercise Instructors & Personal Trainers Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is looking for Group Exercise Instructors to add specific classes to our current Student Wellness program: Tai Chi, Pilates, Bootcamp, Hip Hop Fitness, and Step & Strength. JCCC is also looking for experienced certified Personal Trainers to motivate students & provide safe exercise prescription for small groups and individuals in the weight room and fitness center. Part-time, exempt, $32.50 per hour. Group Exercise Instructors will teach 30-50min classes 1-2x per week for 4-8 week blocks. Available class times between 1pm-6pm Mon-Thurs, 11am-3pm Fridays. Please be sure to specify your availability and the classes you are qualified to teach. Personal Trainers will lead small group training and/or provide exercise prescription during open weight room hours on Wed & Fri 11am-1pm OR Tues & Thurs 6pm-8pm for 4-8 week blocks. ELL instructor West Park (WPK)
JCCC is searching for non-credit instructors to teach English to non-native speakers by emphasizing reading, vocabulary development, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in a student-centered classroom environment at JCAE locations. Please note that these positions are not located on the main JCCC campus. They are located at our West Park and Center of Grace locations. These positions are for an ELL instructor, not adjunct positions. * Create and submit weekly lesson plans, utilizing the digital template provided, to the building lead. * Learn and implement the required curriculum that emphasizes life skills, workplace skills, digital literacy, civics/citizenship and more. . * Access and utilize the JCAE ELL website and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Maintain student data, attendance records and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Conference with learners at the beginning and end of the semester to discuss goals and growth. * Participate in new student intake onboarding such as registration, orientation, and testing. * Participate in staff development activities both online and in-person each semester. * Completing all JCCC annual mandatory training and administrative requirements, as well as additional onboarding requirements for JCAE new teachers. These requirements may involve account setup, website access, lesson plan training, LMS training, data entry, and other tasks to prepare for the class. * Access email regularly and read Weekly Updates to stay informed of expectations and upcoming events. * Work with the building lead to schedule a formal observation. This will be followed by a debrief, and a follow up observation to confirm that recommendations have been implemented. * Fill-in periodically for other teachers. Daytime and Evening shifts available.

Transition Coordinator Overland Park Main Campus
Plans and coordinates the College Success Transition Programs. Manages the student applications, interviews possible participants and coordinates with constituents. Maintains clear and accurate records on both participating schools and students. Advertises Transition into PostSecondary (TIPS) and other relevant courses across campus and through the community with written, online, and in-person content. Communicates with campus and community partners to provide a holistic approach to student success. Assists in the daily operations of the program with both students and professors to align program with the participating high school students’ learning and college transition needs. Teaching responsibilities include TIPS section as needed, and facilitation of TIPS coursework, speakers, texts, and learning strategies.
