CoLab Support Specialist Overland Park Main Campus
Provide support to the CoLab in its mission to create collaborative, experiential learning opportunities for students and faculty. Responsible for space and event management, physical scheduling, virtual scheduling, webinar support, daily facility maintenance, light technical support and superior service for faculty, staff, students, and community visitors. Demonstrate and troubleshoot technology usage in the workspaces. Learn new technologies and train faculty and students. Support promotional efforts on behalf of the CoLab through appropriate social media and signage. Lead initiatives such as Student Agency, Motion Capture, Virtual Reality, LinkedIn Workshops, speak with community groups, and other support, as needed. This position must be self-sufficient. Employee is given latitude to make essential decisions and work with internal and external community partners. They must be able to problem solve, determine campus resources, public speaking for internal and external groups, use critical thinking skills, be innovative, and forward thinking to support the mission of the CoLab.
Coordinator, Fan & Community Engagement Overland Park Main Campus
The Coordinator, Fan and Community Engagement connects JCCC Athletics with Student Life, the College community, and community partners to strengthen school spirit and enhance the overall student experience. This position leads fan engagement and supports game-day operations for home athletic events while developing promotions, themed events, and other experiences that increase student, employee, alumni, family, and community participation. The Coordinator also plans athletic special events and recognition programs, builds collaborative partnerships across the College and community, and supports outreach efforts. Additional responsibilities include coordinating marketing, social media, digital branding, and event signage; assessing attendance and engagement to inform future programming; and supporting budget management, vendor contracts, and related administrative operations. This position is apart of the Student Life and Leadership Department and works Athletics, coaches, student organizations, College departments, community partners, performers, and vendors to create safe, welcoming, and engaging experiences that connect JCCC Athletics to the broader College community.

Student Media Center Overland Park Main Campus
The Student Media Staff members support JCCC mission by being responsible for the multi-platform storytelling and promotion of The Messenger, the college’s official student news website. This role offers a professional-grade laboratory environment where student incumbents apply skills in journalism, digital media production, and marketing to engage a diverse campus audience. Working within a collaborative newsroom structure, the incumbent will specialize in a specific medium—such as social media management, investigative reporting, photography, or digital design—while gaining cross-functional experience in professional media tools and AP style standards. When applying, in the cover, letter please express interest in one or more of the following positions: Social media production editor: The social media production editor is responsible for content creation, branding content, news content and social media management on all social media platforms, excluding Youtube. Social media news reporter: Relay campus news on social media through vertical video and text. Copy editor: Oversees all proofreading and AP style adherence of all written content, which includes articles, videos and previews for podcasts and videos. Senior photographer: Captures still and video images of news and sports on campus, while working with reporters and editors to supply images for digital stories and the print. Senior designer and illustrator: Creates illustrations, including infographics, and other visual explainers, as well as designs print products, including fliers and the semi-annual magazine. Video/audio editor: Uses non-linear editing software to edit raw videos, podcasts (both video and audio-only) into cohesive, timely and accessible content. News reporter (3): Covers campus news, life and sports through features, previews, and other creative topics to engage our diverse campus. PR/Marketing: The PR/Marketing hire will work to get the word out about The Messenger by planning events, tabling, building partnerships and collaborations with other campus organizations, and this hire will have a say in social media content. Podcast producer: Creates content concepts for multiple weekly podcasting shows by working with Messengers editors and reporters. Also needs to be active on campus to meet with people to bring on the show.
Summer Youth Academy Curriculum Developer Overland Park Main Campus
WDCE is seeking an experienced Curriculum Developer to design engaging, hands-on academy curricula for a full-day, five-day summer camp model serving students in grades 4-9. The Summer Academy model emphasizes project-based learning, career exploration, creativity, leadership development, teamwork, and real-world application. Academy themes include arts, technology, trades, healthcare, entrepreneurship, environmental education, community leadership, and culture. The Curriculum Developer will create complete curriculum packages that enable instructors to deliver high-quality, student-centered learning experiences across multiple academy pathways.
Director, Recruitment & Enrollment Strategy Overland Park Main Campus

Adjunct Assistant Professor - Engineering Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time faculty position in the Engineering Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in the Engineering Orientation classes. The intent of this course is to introduce students to the engineering industry and the engineering problem-solving process, and to help each student make the best career decision. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach in person one day a week (Monday) in the morning and afternoon starting in Spring 2027. Adjunct Assistant Professor, Culinary Arts Overland Park Main Campus
The Hospitality Management department seeks to fill vacancies for an adjunct faculty member. Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: teach savory culinary arts classes, demonstrate deep subject knowledge, including key concepts, current and relevant methodologies, tools and techniques, and meaningful applications. Additionally, adjunct faculty must plan and organize instruction to enhance student learning; create appropriate assignments to encourage student learning, the development of communication skills, and higher order thinking; and use available instructional technology, as appropriate. The adjunct is expected to meet classes as scheduled; notify the appropriate department chair and/or Dean in advance if they are to be absent, and, if possible, arrange for a substitute instructor or assignments for his or her class; be accessible to students and College personnel through e-mail, wireless/cellular technology, or scheduled office hours including arranging, when necessary, additional time for appointments. Adjuncts should prepare and distribute syllabi in accordance with established procedures and guidelines and follow the published final exam schedule, maintain accurate records of students’ academic standing; promptly provide final grades, attendance, and other information as required by administration. Finally, adjuncts are expected to evaluate students based solely on their academic performance and to respond promptly to student grade questions and/or appeals. Eligibility for this position includes being available to teach face-to face classes during the time periods of either 8:00 – 11:30 a.m., 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., or 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Adjunct Assistant Nursing Professor, Simulation Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking two (2) adjunct nursing faculty to teach in the Zamierowski Center for Healthcare Simulation (ZCHS). The ZCHS adjunct nursing faculty is a clinically experienced subject matter expert who is responsible for facilitating student learning and performance in the on-site simulation center. The ZCHS provides an immersive simulation learning experience for Associate Degree Nursing (ADN-Registered Nurse) students. The adjunct nursing faculty will be responsible for working with faculty, students, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality simulation learning activities are efficiently integrated and implemented across the nursing curriculum. These positions involves the use of interactive and simulated technology, with evidence-based simulation models, to implement and evaluate simulation scenarios as an educational modality. Adjunct nursing faculty will provide clinical, educational, and technical expertise in simulation-based activities in the ZCHS. Faculty will work as part of the ZCHS team to provide current best practice for patient scenarios during a simulation clinical day which compliments the pre-licensure nursing curriculum. Faculty will be actively involved with scenario implementation, facilitation, and debriefing for learners. Student learning activities will include resolving simple-to-complex patient care situations via high-fidelity simulation. Adjunct nursing faculty are responsible for setting up and tearing down simulation scenario environments, and preconference activities. Other team duties may also be assigned. Although simulation days would begin in the spring 2027 semester (late January/early February), current ZCHS team members would prefer to offer some training sessions late this fall for the new adjunct faculty.
Clinical Instructor, Registered Nursing Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking part-time clinical instructors to teach in the area of Med/Surg, in the acute care hospital setting, starting in the spring 2027 term. The clinical instructor will work with a group of our ADN students at a clinical agency setting one (1) day a week, and will remain on the same day each week. Hospital clinical assignments take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Groups could be 1st semester, 2nd semester, or 4th (final) semester students in the spring. Each individual may be asked to be available for on campus activities as needed, which may fall on a day other than their assigned clinical day.
Athletic Team Shuttle Driver Overland Park Main Campus
The Part-Time Athletic Driver provides safe, dependable, and timely transportation for student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff to and from scheduled sports events, tournaments, and off-site practices. Technical Theatre Adjunct / Scenic and Lighting Overland Park Main Campus
Tech Adjunct professors are utilized to teach special topics courses in Lighting, Scenic design and production, as well as potentially take on sections of stagecraft. This position will also design one or more extra curricular productions per academic year as determined with the full time faculty. (Usually this will be a scenic or lighting design, but could branch into sound, projections, and costumes depending on skillsets.)
Tutor II, Writing Center Overland Park Main Campus
Tutor students through a variety of modalities and methods in specific subjects; refer students to other relevant resources. Assist with center-specific projects and training as appropriate; assist with other daily activities in the relevant center. Fulfills key function of working one-on-one with students in the Writing Center.
Financial Aid Regulations Administrator Overland Park Main Campus
The Financial Aid Regulations Administrator supports JCCC’s mission by helping ensure financial aid processes are accurate, consistent, student-centered, and compliant. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Aid, the position coordinates identity verification and ID.me administration, maintains controlled documents and compliance records, performs quality assurance monitoring, and supports fraud prevention, audit readiness, training, and special initiatives. Working in coordination with compliance staff, the Administrator implements approved procedures, responds to routine questions, assists students and campus partners, and escalates matters requiring regulatory interpretation, investigative judgment, policy decisions, or elevated risk assessment. This position reports to Processing Supervisor, Financial Aid.
Admissions Ambassador- CAV Leader Overland Park Main Campus
The Student Admissions Ambassador or CAV Leader at JCCC serves as a primary receptionist by greeting all guests and visiting campus community members. The Admissions Ambassador ensures that visitors are acknowledged and that they feel welcome. The Admissions Ambassadors support the Recruitment Coordinator and recruitment team. An integral component of the job is working as part of a team of students and recruitment staff to provide quality tours and visit experiences for all college guests. The Admissions Ambassador is a highly visible student employee who will have a vast array of knowledge about the Student Services and Engagement as well as academic and support programs across campus to provide accurate information to visitors. The Admissions Ambassadors will be a part of a collaborative recruitment department that supports coworkers by utilizing available computer systems and technology to maintain accurate databases and information for reporting purposes.
