Adjunct Spanish Professor Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a Spanish adjunct professor to teach Elementary level Spanish language. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Foreign Language Department to serve as a substitute or teach Elementary and Intermediate Spanish in the day or evening in the summer, spring or fall semesters in person and live online (Zoom). The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job may teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours or serve as a substitute professor. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for Spanish language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates will be interviewed and will be asked to demonstrate a 30-minute class in person or on Zoom.

Adjunct Faculty, Photography Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Photography, Film, and Media Studies. Access Services Advisor Overland Park Main Campus
This position is responsible for providing leadership and collaboration in framing a commitment to disability access as an integral aspect of JCCC. The access Advisors consult with the JCCC Community about disability and inclusive practices and provide services, strategies, and accommodations to mitigate the barriers faced by students with disabilities. The Access Advisor, in collaboration with the Access Advising team, meets with prospective and current JCCC students to determine eligibility for Access Services. Advisors serve students individually through walk-in sessions, face to face, and virtual appointments, calls, and email communication. Advisors coordinate and/or supervise implementation of accommodations Advisors work closely with instructional faculty and provide notification and consultation regarding students’ accommodation needs. Advisors are members of the collaborative college community and are active on college committees and integral members of the Student Success and Engagement Division. Access Advisors have expert knowledge of disability legislation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, relevant case law, and legal guidance. This position is committed to student development and universal design.
Administrative Assistant I, ARC Overland Park Main Campus

Adjunct Faculty, Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
This position is for a part-time adjunct clinical dental hygiene instructor. The adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct 1st year students in Clinical Dental Hygiene II while students are providing dental hygiene treatment in the clinic. The position need is for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm. The contract pay is for a nine (9) hour day and includes the 8.5 hours of clinical teaching time and a 30 minute lunch time calibration.

Supported Education Programs Instructors teach non-credit specialized instruction seminars for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the CLEAR and CONNECT programs. Responsible for course content development and adaptation to meet diverse learning needs. Responsible for classroom instruction and evaluating student progress including testing, grading and maintaining an interactive Canvas course. Hold weekly office hours and collaborate with peer mentors to support student success. All courses take place face-to-face on the JCCC campus. *This is a 12 month position.

Adjunct Professor of History Overland Park Main Campus

Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential. Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.

The Industrial Maintenance/Automation program is seeking a qualified candidate for Adjunct. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses within this program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics) during both daytime and evening hours, as well as participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community.
