Position Summary: This position is for a part-time adjunct clinical dental hygiene instructor. The adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct 1st year students in Clinical Dental Hygiene II while students are providing dental hygiene treatment in the clinic. The position need is for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm. The contract pay is for a nine (9) hour day and includes the 8.5 hours of clinical teaching time and a 30 minute lunch time calibration.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- 3 years dental hygiene clinical practice experience
- Eligibility for Dental Hygiene Licensure in the State of Kansas
- Local Anesthesia Certificate
- Nitrous Oxide Certificate
- Current CPR Certification (BLS with AED)

- Strong communication Skills
- Ability to give quality constructive feedback for improved learning in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work well with others in a team based clinical setting
- Ability to adhere to the JCCC Dental Hygiene Educational Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to prepare as needed outside of assigned work hours and prior to clinic days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Two (2) years clinical teaching experience
