ELL instructor West Park (WPK)
JCCC is searching for non-credit instructors to teach English to non-native speakers by emphasizing reading, vocabulary development, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in a student-centered classroom environment at JCAE locations. Please note that these positions are not located on the main JCCC campus. They are located at our West Park and Center of Grace locations. These positions are for an ELL instructor, not adjunct positions.
Visitor Services Supervisor Overland Park Main Campus
The Visitor Services Supervisor works with the Nerman Museum staff as an integral member of the team. The Visitor Services Supervisor is also the front-line in ensuring that our tours and programs runs smoothly. This role establishes excellence in customer service for all patrons to ensure a welcoming experience for staff, volunteers, and visitors. This position oversees visitor services initiatives and manages the museum’s front-of-house approach, which includes supervising the approximately 10-12 guards, and managing 20+ visitor services volunteers (including JCCC students). This supervisor communicates with the Nerman Museum staff about all front-of-house needs, policies, and structure and is responsible for addressing all visit-related aspects of the Nerman Museum experience, including on-site communication, staff and volunteer training, and the safety needs/concerns related to protecting the artwork on view according to museum best practices. This position’s schedule includes frequent evening and weekend shifts.
Driver's Education instructor Overland Park Main Campus
Prepare new student drivers for successful licensure through classroom and on-the-road instruction consistent with Kansas DMV requirements and standards in order to prepare student drivers for successful licensure. The Driver Education Instructor will prepare and deliver a classroom instructional program for students, plus 6 hours of driving lessons with each student.
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Human Science Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time faculty position in the Biology Department. Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus

A 9-month faculty member in the mathematics department at JCCC is expected to perform the tasks as outlined in the position description including committee work and taking part in the professional and curriculum development. Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential. Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.
