Sr Cloud Systems/Application Administrator Overland Park Main Campus
Provides system and application administration support functions to college-wide instructional technology systems and instructional divisions for Academic Servers and Virtual environments consisting predominantly of Cloud and on-premise Microsoft, Azure, Academic Active Directory, SCCM and VMware. Responsible for all activities related to system and application administration. Ensures the long-term requirements of system and application operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system/application. Regularly provides advice and recommends actions involving rather complex issues. This includes planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of operating system on servers. Applies specialized depth and breadth of systems/application administration functions. Works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. Resolves highly complex issues in creative and effective ways and performs analysis of situation or data that requires evaluation of variable factors. Recommends best practices. Provides guidance to less experienced team members. Leads in a technical capacity on functional teams and/or projects.
Dining Services Production Coordinator Overland Park Main Campus
Focuses on daily operations in the food court from a Production perspective. Assists and leads Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, and BLVD Burgers operations in the food court by operating cooking equipment consistently and safely while guiding others to the same standard. Performs tasks with the best interest of the business in mind as well as honoring established standards. Ensures team members are clear on contractual and departmental expectations for product and behaviors. Follows contract, local, state, and departmental guidelines for food handling and quality according to operational requirements to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary operation. Builds and assists in building schedules, trainings, and guiding PTR and PTT staff in accordance with requirements of each operation.
Dining Services Assistant - Cashier Overland Park Main Campus
The Dining Service Assistant - Cashier performs duties consistent with food court operations including: operating POS cash registers according to cash handling guidelines; preparing, stocking, and serving food and beverages safely and accurately according to local, state, and departmental guidelines; exhibits a high level of customer service and communication; arrives on time and ready to work; exhibits the shared values of the College.
Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor Olathe Health Education Center (OHEC)
Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.
Lab Technician Biology Overland Park Main Campus
The lab tech will have the following duties: • Lab preparation for cell and molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology labs or other courses as scheduled. Occasional preparation for special projects such as Honors or Independent Study • Procurement of supplies and equipment; maintaining inventory/stocks • Maintenance of lab / prep room; storage of supplies, safe disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous waste • Training and supervision of lab aide / student worker
Assistant Professor, Communication Studies, Academic Affairs Overland Park Main Campus
Teach 15 credit hours (five classes) per semester of communication courses, which may include Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Personal Communication (a blended course), Intercultural Communication, and/or Workplace Skills. Admission Recruiter Overland Park Main Campus
The Admission Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of diverse and qualified students through a consultative sales approach. The Admission Recruiter manages an assigned geographic recruitment territory, communicates with prospective students to move them through the admission and enrollment process, and attends numerous on- and off-campus events in support of the Admission Office. Serve as the face of the College to prospective students, parents, and other influencers in the college selection process by providing informational and promotional presentations. This position builds relationships with prospects, engages them in the community of JCCC, and connects them with resources as needed.
HVAC Building Automation Engineer Overland Park Main Campus
The Building Automation Engineer, performing at a Programmer’s Level, is responsible for maintaining the Buildings Automation System (BAS) as well as installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on all HVAC and associated equipment. This position will also be assigned with discovering energy savings opportunities, scheduling, and retro-commissioning on the BAS and mechanical equipment. This position will be responsible for maintaining campus standards throughout the BAS as well as training others on its use. Position requires proficient computer skills including Microsoft applications.
Business Analyst Overland Park Main Campus
The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business areas of the college and Information Services to provide technical support and solutions to meet user needs. Maintains expertise in the business operations they support and a detailed understanding of the various systems/applications the area uses for their business operation. Analyzes the business operations to determine opportunities for automation and functionality improvements to support strategic goals and close any gaps. Partners with process owners to identify business process redesign and documentation needs for new technology. Educates and translates business requirements into functional specifications for Information Services resources as well as manages changes to those specifications. Possesses an understanding of the technology trends and uses this knowledge to showcase options to increase efficiency or enhance user experience. Participation in projects will include the involvement in defining business and technical requirements, user stories, automation modeling, testing support, documentation, user training, attending development demos and assist with adoption. Focus areas for this position include Human Resources, Payroll and Position Budgeting, but additional support areas may be added in order to best meet the needs of the College.
Adjunct Faculty, Construction Management Overland Park Main Campus
Teach one (1) or two (2) section(s) of JCCC course CMGT-100 Industrial Safety/OSHA-30 in the Spring 2023 semester. Conduct a 30-Hour OSHA Outreach Training course simultaneous with a 3-credit hour college course for Freshmen Welding (Metal Fabrication) students. Classes would be weekly (on Fridays) in-person / on-campus, with a maximum 18 students per class. Responsibilities would include both OSHA Authorized Instructor record-keeping and Trainer responsibilities in addition to College Instructor record-keeping, grading, testing, and related responsibilities.
Summer Paraprofessional Overland Park Main Campus

CDL Third-party Examiner Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking experienced CDL Truck Drivers to be Third Party CDL Examiners. JCCC offers commercial truck driver training courses to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A. At the end of their training, they are examined by a Third Party CDL Examiner to gain their CDL.
Zero Waste Associate Sustainability Overland Park Main Campus
Support the college’s zero waste goals where diversion of materials from reaching the landfill is at or beyond 90%. In order to achieve this goal this position will perform manual and mental work necessary to support the recycling, compost, and other waste diversion programs. In addition to these functions this position will also assist in maintaining the Center’s facilities assets, and train and support student interns.
