Sustainability Intern Overland Park Main Campus

In order to achieve this goal this position will perform various logistical functions, including sorting, loading, and moving materials, making deliveries and pick-ups on and off campus, serving as a support for surplus property, recycling, compost, and other waste diversion programs. In addition to these functions this position will also assist in maintaining the Center’s facilities and assets. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants for a full-time faculty position in the ASL & Deaf Studies Department to teach Elementary and Intermediate ASL courses including Introduction to the Deaf Community, the Linguistics of ASL, and/or ASL Literature courses. The ASL & Deaf Studies Department offers an ASL Studies Certificate and ASL courses that serve as preparation for students to continue their education in bachelor’s degree programs. The department is part of the Communications Division.

The ideal candidate is one who has demonstrated strong nursing clinical and assessment skills; is comfortable with technology; works well in collaboration with others; is committed to the mission of a community college; is familiar with the scope of practice of an LPN.

The JCCC Police Officer provides law enforcement and public safety services to the college community to include but not limited to enforcement of criminal statutes, parking and traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, prosecution support, non-criminal public safety services, enforcement of college policies, rules, and regulations.

Full-time instructor for various drafting courses within the program. Instructor should be able to identify and apply the essential, basic skills of drafting. These include, measuring, geometric construction, sketching, isometrics, orthographic views, section views, dimensioning and auxiliary views. Instructor should also be able to interpret and explain the various plan view drawings and elevation views, sections, details, schedules, specifications, symbols and abbreviations found on most residential and commercial construction drawings. Instructor will be responsible for teaching industry codes and standards which apply to mechanical and/or architectural and/or civil and/or structural drawings.
Fitness Center Monitor Overland Park Main Campus
The Fitness Center Monitor provides information and interacts successfully with students and staff entering the JCCC Fitness Center/Weight Room and on the phone. This position also requires data entry for fitness center patrons while washing and folding towels and cleaning the machines in the Fitness Center/Weight Room as well as providing COVID cleaning.

Provide one-on-one individualized and drop-in tutoring services to students at JCCC. Demonstrate understanding of the unique learning needs of students and adapt to those individual needs. Remain current on subject matter in courses which they are assigned for tutoring. Maintain a working knowledge of learning strategies. Attend trainings on topics pertaining to tutoring techniques and working with students of varying abilities. Other responsibilities include referring students to appropriate resources, assisting students, faculty, and staff in the AAC, working in outreach programs, and other duties as assigned.

Senior Project Manager Overland Park Main Campus
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of large scale, strategic, and cross-functional technology initiatives from project initiation through implementation and completion. The Sr. Project Manager (SPM) works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements. The SPM also works with IS leadership to identify, acquire and coordinate necessary resources to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes. He/she is responsible for monitoring and reporting project status—including risks, issues affecting project schedules, and milestone achievements—to the Director of the Project Management Office and stakeholders. The SPM develops project plans and schedules and ensures projects meet departmental requirements, standards, policies, and deadlines.
