Position: Adjunct Assistant Nursing Professor, Health Resource Center

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Will require weekend and evening availability, as well as during normal business hours. Average 30 hours per week, over 16 weeks.

Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary:
Average of 30 hours per week, over 16 weeks.
Availability required (hours should fall within these timeframes)
- Monday through Friday: between hours of 0730-1900
- Saturday: 0900-1500 (most Saturdays required)
- Anticipated number of days: 4-5 per week
- Will require weekend and evening availability, as well as during normal business hours.
Job Duties:
- Staff open lab hours, to include: Assist students learning psychomotor skills, and Complete formal skills validations
- Formal lab set-up and break-down
- Teaching formal skills labs and assessment labs
- Inventorying supplies
- Assisting with lab clean-up/laundry
- Student remediation for psychomotor skills referrals
- Grading, to include: Classroom assignments, and Tickets to class
- Formal Evaluation of students to include: Proctoring Head to Toe examinations, and Skills Check-offs
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Candidates with a BSN and requisite experience will be considered.
- Active single-state RN license in Kansas, or an active Multi-state RN license.
- Current BLS certification as a healthcare provider.
- A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the last five years.
- Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior clinical teaching experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- One (1) to three (3) years relevant teaching experience in prelicensure nursing education, preferably skills or simulation lab.
