Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday set office hours + some evening/weekend event shifts, 12 hours per week

Starting Salary Range:  $15.68-$17.18 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Handle ticket sales, inquiries, and related tasks at the Midwest Trust Center’s (MTC’s) box office, providing exceptional customer service and efficient ticketing services and playing an important part in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for patrons.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare the box office for window sales prior to events. 
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons by greeting them professionally as they arrive. 
  • Assist patrons with selecting and purchasing tickets for performances and events in the hour leading up to events.
  • Display excellent customer service in providing information, addressing concerns, and giving directions to the general public at box office windows during events.
  • Resolve ticket-related issues and assist patrons with seating preferences, accessibility, and special accommodations. 
  • Process and complete ticket orders in person at the box office window. 
  • Enter and correct data in ticketing software.
  • Operate the box office will-call system, handling will-call requests and ensuring patrons receive their tickets promptly and efficiently. 
  • Balance the cash drawer at the end of each event in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Remain up to date with event-specific information, as well as campus-wide events and schedules.
  • Keep the box office area clean and organized.
