Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs, 12 hours per week

Starting Salary Range:  $15.34-$18.61 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Perform paraprofessional work by assisting instructors with students grades 1-12 in the JCCC summer youth enrichment classes. Support summer youth instructors, manage paperwork, assist with classroom management, and supervise students when instructors leave the room.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Possess valid CPR/First Aid card. (JCCC will assist in obtaining).
  • May assist less-experienced team members.

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the check-in and check-out of students.
  • Confirm parents have completed all required paperwork. 
  • Assist instructors in the administration of learning activities. 
  • Confirm students are supervised, safe, and accounted for at all times. 
  • Assist instructors with setting up and putting away classroom materials.
  • Collaborate with the instructor to provide timely communication and updates to parents.
  • Confer with instructors to evaluate student progress and/or implement specific student objectives.
