Type of Position: Part-time Regular, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Thursday 1:00-6:00 PM; Friday 12:00-5:00 PM, 25 hours per week
Pay Range: $15.00-$18.20 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: This position requires strong communication skills to assist students and families with various financial aid services and involves daily problem-solving in areas that include binding decisions for the institution. This position must have clear knowledge of and can easily relay both federal and institutional financial aid policies, processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Associates Degree or 60 complete college credit hours or at least 2 years of Financial Aid Experience.
• Customer Service Experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Community College Experience.
• Other Higher Education Experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide quality service to students, parents, campus colleagues, and others through various mediums and respond to general and complex questions regarding financial aid programs and individual funding needs.
- Assist students and parents with the completion of application forms and communicate requirements and information needed for student files.
- Prepare and process paperwork relative to student files, perform data entry in Banner, serve on departmental committees, conduct call campaigns when requested, and assist with student call-backs and email replies.
- Update financial aid processing form requirements in Banner, maintain and update the front desk quick reference guides and training manuals, and ensure the supply of hard-copy forms and student materials is correct.
- Assist the foreign credential evaluation process and submit documents to third-party evaluators after review by the Financial Aid Coordinator.
- Attend required meetings and applicable professional development training sessions.
- Maintain working knowledge of all Federal Title IV, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Serves as a backup to Financial Aid Assistant: uploads incoming documents and forwards to appropriate staff, sends daily appointment reminders, schedules appointments, checks the financial aid voicemail, and keeps office traffic statistics up to date.
