Faculty members occupy a special place in the life of our academic institution, enacting multiple roles as teachers, mentors, and scholars. JCCC recognizes the value and contributions of its faculty to the mission of the institution. Because of this special role in an academic environment, full-time faculty appointments are expected not only to excel in classroom instruction, but also to provide opportunities available as members of the college community.
The Neurodiagnostic Technology Program faculty member will be responsible for teaching both clinically and didactically. Expected to function in a multi-cultural, diverse working environment, respecting all gifts and differences.
A list of the key responsibilities of Neurodiagnostic Technology Program instructors includes:
1. Is knowledgeable of program basic competency goals and standards, course and clinical objectives and outcomes, assessment evaluation processes and systems, graduate entry-level competencies, and accreditation requirements.
2. Plan, implement, evaluate, and revise, as necessary, the curriculum for the program.
3. Participate in teaching face-to-face courses in the classroom, simulation center, skills lab, and clinic. Will also be responsible for all clinical courses and all clinical components of the NDT program.
4. Conducts regular student conferences, assesses, evaluates, and documents students' progress and concerns.
5. Meet regularly with the Director to provide up-to-date progress reports on students.
6. Portray a positive professional attitude toward students and the teaching/learning process and utilize positive interpersonal skills.
7. Develop, coordinate, and maintain student records in conjunction with program policies.
8. Participate in the annual evaluation of the program, courses, and curriculum revision, goals and standards, evaluation systems in the preparation of required annual reports and self-studies.
9. Participate in the student selection process for entry into the program and the scheduled orientation sessions for prospective students.
10. Participate in the development and implementation of new Neurodiagnostic Technology program materials. Continuing education with Neurodiagnostic Technology students, including career changes, and those re-entering the labor force.
11. Participate in the Program and Advisory Committee Meetings, Instructor Meetings, and serve on other committees.
12. Participate in continuing education to improve teaching and evaluation skills and maintain current knowledge and competency of Neurodiagnostic Technology, and maintain active professional memberships.
13. Administrative duties as required by the program accrediting body.
14. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all affiliates.

Box Office Rental Events Coordinator

The Box Office Rental Events Coordinator has responsibility for managing all box office aspects of rental and hosted events using MTC facilities, including leadership and supervision of staff, communication and relationship management with external clients, and working with the Box Office Manager on ticketing solutions and creation of rental policies and procedures. JCCC is in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. JCCC is dedicated to maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants for this full-time faculty position. Full-time faculty in English work to strike a balance between teaching and research and have strong professional connections with regional and national composition, rhetoric, and literature professional organizations. Many of our 18,000 students are nontraditional, military veterans, immigrants, international, and first-generation college students. The successful candidate for this job will teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester in composition, with the potential to teach literature courses. The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity.
The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours per semester in Japanese or will serve as a substitute for day and/or evening courses. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned.
Additional responsibilities:
Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for Japanese language students.
Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives.
Participate in on-campus events promoting languages.
Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training.
