Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position are: to provide outstanding customer service to our students, instructors, staff, and guests; to serve as the eyes on the building, being aware of people entering and leaving the facility; and to communicate needs and concerns with campus departments which support the facility.

Required Qualifications: • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Exercise good judgment and initiative

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with the public
• Phone and face to face customer service experience

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • 1. Customer Service– Provide superior customer service to students, instructors, staff, and event guests. Performance is acceptable when: a. Assists students, instructors, staff, and guests with questions, complaints/problems. b. Engages students, instructors, staff, and guests by greeting them as they enter the building. c. Provides support to instructors to be sure they have access to rooms and materials. 
  • 2. Safety – Be aware of all building safety procedures to assist others in the event of any emergency. Performance is acceptable when: a. Completes ALICE I & II Training. b. Becomes member of Building Emergency Leadership Team. c. Participates satisfactorily in BEL team activities. 
  • 3. Communication – Communicate with campus departments: Security, Maintenance, IT & AV Performance is acceptable when: a. Contacts JCCC Security in the event of needed support by the Campus Police. b. Contacts On-duty Maintenance Supervisor to report any facility issues/emergencies. c. Completes HELP Desk tickets when necessary to support classroom IT and AV.
