Position Summary: The Adjunct Assistant Professor, Certified Nurse Aide is responsible for assisting in labs, and facilitating clinical instruction of health occupations students during fall, spring and/or summer semester.

A robust orientation is offered to any new adjunct CNA professor, including mentorship and guided experiences. Please note this is for a lab and clinical position, future opportunities may be offered for facilitating classroom learning. All requirements of the clinical facility must be met including vaccination(s)/CPR/Background Check/Drug Screen etc.

Required Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas, multi-state license, or have the qualifications to obtain licensure in Kansas as a Registered Nurse.
Desire to learn and expand the current workforce
2-5 years experience as an nurse
Strong background in nursing in a skilled nursing facility
Experience in supervision of CNAs and/or LPNs

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with Bachelor Degree
2+ years in skilled nursing or long-term care
Preferred Experience:
One year of employment as a licensed nurse in a long-term care facility
Experience or education in Adult Education
Continuing education about person-centered care
