Job Summary

JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time faculty position in the Chemistry Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II or Organic Chemistry. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach face-to-face and online starting in Spring 2022. Teaching assignments could be any combination of face-to-face (day or evening), online or using teleconference software like Zoom. All applications must be be submitted to the JCCC jobs porta


Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 18 hours of graduate level coursework in Chemistry
One year of college-level teaching experience in Chemistry
Computer literacy including ability to communicate and develop teaching materials and enter grades electronically
Demonstrate familiarity with the use of appropriate computer software
Demonstrate fluency in written and oral communications
Demonstrate familiarity with the use and care of small equipment like pH meters, spectrophotometers


Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 18 hours of graduate level coursework in Chemistry
Community college teaching experience
