Lab Instructor Fire Science in Overland Park Main Campus
Faculty members are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in each of the following areas throughout their employment at the college. Lab Instructors teach requisite firefighting skills to prepare students for third party state firefighter certification pertaining to four core curriculums (Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Fire I, Fire II). Lab Instructors work with, teach, and maintain fire equipment (chain saws, ladders, breathing apparatus, personal protective gear, extrication equipment) to ensure students receive quality and emergency services operations and delivery. Ability to interpret and evaluate theories in the field or discipline and connect subject matter with related fields. Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies. Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs. Create and/or modify course revisions appropriate to current Fire and Emergency Services principles and delivery methods. Employ available instructional technology when appropriate. Serve as proctor on the Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT). Required Qualifications:

CPAT Proctor and Trainer in Overland Park Main Campus
Proctor will proctor and train potential candidates in the National Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Proctors will properly set up the eight CPAT stations and equipment prior to the test, accurately, safely, and confidentially proctor the test and accurately document the outcome to ensure test paperwork is properly handled. Demonstrate - will train and demonstrate potential candidates on the eight skill stations and equipment of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Proctors will properly set up the eight CPAT stations and equipment prior to the test, validate the operation of the skills stations, and the testing conditions prior to the test, demonstrate the skills stations.

SRC Tutor II - Anatomy & Physiology in Overland Park Main Campus
The A&P tutor provides tutoring for students in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and Medical Terminology courses. In addition to that, the tutor conducts review sessions, leads group discussions and help with learning Anatomy models; assist with other daily activities in the science resource center.

SRC Tutor II - Nursing in various locations
The Nursing Tutor will provide support with content material, help students with critical thinking skills, provide assistance with clinicals, and prepare for exams for the LPN program and students in A&P courses held at OHEC. The tutor will provide coaching to help students connect content matter with real life scenarios which is key to nursing students.
