Position Summary: Paramedic Lab Clinicians are responsible for assisting with the instructional needs of EMS course laboratory sessions. This position works is eligible to work within all EMS courses with lab.
1. Psychomotor instruction- Lab Clinicians are responsible for assessing, reviewing and correcting student performance within the psychomotor domain in small group settings.
2. Equipment maintenance- Lab Clinicians are required to be responsible stewards of JCCC and program equipment and facilities
3. Ability to work 5-10 hours per week (during scheduled lab times).
Required Qualifications: Kansas EMT Licensure: Active and in good standing. Candidate must attach a PDF of their current Kansas EMS certification when applying.
Working Knowledge of EMS Equipment: Demonstrates familiarity with and proper use of EMS equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting as applicable.
Lab Instruction Skills: Ability to lead practical lab sessions, demonstrating techniques effectively, ensuring a safe learning environment, and providing constructive feedback on student performance.
Student Assessment and Feedback: Capable of assessing student competencies through lab exercises, providing clear, actionable feedback, and guiding students to improve their skills.
Professionalism and Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with students, ensuring clarity in instruction and modeling professional behavior expected in clinical practice.
Minimum of one year FT EMS experience or equivalent PT (2700 hours)
Preferred Qualifications: Current or recent experience in transporting EMS work (911, system, emergency ambulance operations and related patient-care experience)
Bachelors Degree or higher. Candidate must attach PDF of unofficial transcripts when applying for consideration.
AHA CPR, PALS, ACLS or PHTLS Instructor- current certification - attach PDF of any current instructor cards.
Five years full-time EMS experience or equivalent PT (13,500 hours)
3 to 5 years of EMS Lab instructor experience.
Current or recent experience in transporting 911-based EMS work. (emergency ambulance operations and related patient-care experience)
To be considered for this position we will require an application, Kansas EMS Certification Card, Other Related certifications/License, Unofficial College Transcripts for all Degrees with application. Official Transcripts will be required prior to offer.

- Professional EMS Licensure – Maintenance of KSBEMS licensure and internal training requirements- Kansas statutes and regulations require that any EMS instructional staff be in “good standing” and licensure at or above the level of licensure in which they instruct students and JCCC staff are required to complete training required by the department and/or JCCC.
