Assistant Professor Horticulture Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) invites applications from a diverse pool of candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Horticulture Department, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach Horticulture lecture and laboratory courses and should be prepared to deliver instruction in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. They will evaluate and update curriculum to meet changing industry needs. Excellent communication with an external advisory board consisting of local employers is essential. They will collaborate with colleagues in related disciplines such as Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science and Floral Design as well as with the Center for Sustainability to create vibrant interdisciplinary synergies that enhance student skills, knowledge, and success. As a full-time faculty member at JCCC, responsibilities include maintaining regular office hours; serving on department, division, and college-wide committees; developing and revising curriculum; designing and implementing assessments of student learning outcomes; participating in professional development; and collaborating with faculty, staff, and stakeholders across the College and the broader community. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. While not required, faculty members are encouraged to pursue professional opportunities such as national and international travel for conferences and workshops, grant writing and publishing, and participation in independent or course-based undergraduate research with students. CoLab Support Specialist Overland Park Main Campus
Provide support to the Collaboration Center (CoLab) in its mission to create collaborative, experiential learning opportunities for students and faculty. Responsible for space and event management, physical scheduling, virtual scheduling, webinar support, daily facility maintenance, light technical support, and superior service for faculty, staff, students, and community visitors. Assistant Professor, Electronics Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking a full-time faculty instructor to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential. Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.

JCCC is also looking for experienced certified Personal Trainers to motivate students & provide safe exercise prescription for small groups and individuals in the weight room and fitness center. Part-time, exempt, $32.50 per hour. Group Exercise Instructors will teach 30-50min classes 1-2x per week for 4-8 week blocks. Available class times between 1pm-6pm Mon-Thurs, 11am-3pm Fridays.
