Adjunct Assistant Professor/Drawing & Painting Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in our Fine Arts program. This position will teach at least one section of Drawing-II in the Fall of 2026 with the possibility of additional and future Fine Arts teaching assignments.
Supported Education Programs Instructor Overland Park Main Campus
Supported Education Programs Instructors teach non-credit specialized instruction seminars for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the CLEAR and CONNECT programs. Responsible for course content development and adaptation to meet diverse learning needs. Responsible for classroom instruction and evaluating student progress including testing, grading and maintaining an interactive Canvas course. Hold weekly office hours and collaborate with peer mentors to support student success. All courses take place face-to-face on the JCCC campus.
Adjunct Faculty, Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
This position is for a part-time adjunct clinical dental hygiene instructor. The adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct students in Clinical Dental Hygiene while they provide dental hygiene treatment in the clinic. The position may also include Friday labs (radiology, local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide sedation labs). The clinical position need varies Monday -Thursdays from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm. The contract pay is for a nine (9) hour day that includes 8.5 hours of clinical teaching time and a 30 minute lunch time calibration. Contract pay for Friday labs will be based on the number of hours worked. This position could also potentially serve as a substitute when other part-time or full-time faculty are unable to work and/or there is an emergency need to fill.
Staff Dentist, Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
The Staff Dentist is a integral member of the Dental Hygiene Program who works in collaboration with the supervising dental hygiene faculty in treating patients scheduled for care in the JCCC dental hygiene on-site clinical facility. This current position is for Mondays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm that will begin in the fall 2026 semester. The Staff Dentist will supervise, mentor and assist students in evaluations for health records, restorative charting, caries risk, occlusion and radiographic surveys. Specifically, the dentist’s role includes: *Performing an initial and periodic examination on patients presenting for periodontal maintenance *Providing a dental diagnosis for each patient *Making referrals for care beyond dental hygiene needs *Consulting on complex medical histories *Preparing prescriptions as needed *Reviewing radiographs with students and discussing the patient’s caries risk assessment and dental needs *Grading radiographs as indicated *Utilization of an Electronic Record and Digital Imaging Systems *Learning and following all JCCC clinical policies and procedures and the operation of the Dental Management System

Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The faculty member is expected to demonstrate competence in mastery of subject matter, professional development, teaching performance, evaluation of student learning, participation in college/division/program activities, support college policies and procedures, and contribution to the growth and enhancement of college mission and programs. This position demands a positive team player, with leadership and project management skills. ELL Instructor West Park (WPK)
JCCC is searching for non-credit instructors to teach English to non-native speakers by emphasizing reading, vocabulary development, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in a student-centered classroom environment at JCAE locations. Please note that these positions are not located on the main JCCC campus. They are located at our West Park and Center of Grace locations. These positions are for an ELL instructor, not adjunct positions. * Create and submit weekly lesson plans, utilizing the digital template provided, to the building lead. * Learn and implement the required curriculum that emphasizes life skills, workplace skills, digital literacy, civics/citizenship and more. . * Access and utilize the JCAE ELL website and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Maintain student data, attendance records and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Conference with learners at the beginning and end of the semester to discuss goals and growth. * Participate in new student intake onboarding such as registration, orientation, and testing. * Participate in staff development activities both online and in-person each semester. * Completing all JCCC annual mandatory training and administrative requirements, as well as additional onboarding requirements for JCAE new teachers. These requirements may involve account setup, website access, lesson plan training, LMS training, data entry, and other tasks to prepare for the class. * Access email regularly and read Weekly Updates to stay informed of expectations and upcoming events. * Work with the building lead to schedule a formal observation. This will be followed by a debrief, and a follow up observation to confirm that recommendations have been implemented. * Fill-in periodically for other teachers. Daytime and Evening shifts available.
Evening English Connection Instructor West Park (WPK)
Provide English instruction to students who are transitioning from basic life-skill English classes into GED-level academic coursework, college transition or higher career placement. Instruction will be in reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary development, civics, and digital literacy at an intermediate to low-advanced level. Development of daily lesson plans to keep student attention, adhere to state and local academic standards and increase student success. Facilitate standardized testing for benchmarking. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.
Evening Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor West Park (WPK)
Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.
Adjunct Faculty, Political Science Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is looking for a qualified pool of applicants for a part-time political science faculty position who will begin teaching Spring 2027 (with potential for earlier). The ideal candidate is expected to teach American National Government and Introduction to Political Science and some combination of the following: Comparative Government, Political Theory, and other courses as needed. Assistant Professor Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Dental Hygiene program is seeking a full-time assistant professor to teach in both the didactic and clinical components of the program. Duties include 2 days per week in the clinical setting and didactic courses as assigned. This position is a 9-month contract within the bargaining unit of the College to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective instructional teaching strategies, evaluate student learning and communicate with students. The faculty member will be responsible for preparing and teaching dental hygiene program material. Mentoring students in mastering course content, fostering critical thinking, creating a supportive learning environment, as well as evaluating student learning through course competencies are essential skills for this position. Providing timely formative and summative feedback and communicating regularly with students is required. The successful candidate will also complete all mandatory training, attend, and participate in required meetings, develop collegial collaboration with other faculty members and serve on department, division and/or other College committees. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.
Adjunct Professor - Animation: Entertainment and Game Art Design Overland Park Main Campus
The Animation Department is seeking an adjunct professor to teach on-campus, 15-week, face-to-face sections of 2D and 3D animation classes as assigned and capacity allows. There is the possibility that an occasional online or HYB section could be assigned. This is a professional training program using industry software with the goal of making our graduates ready to be competitive and job ready in the animation and digital media profession. The Industrial Maintenance/Automation program is seeking a qualified candidate for Adjunct. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses within this program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics) during both daytime and evening hours, as well as participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community. CDL A Instructor - Truck Driver Training CDL Facility - Edgerton, KS
Johnson County Community College is seeking experienced CDL Truck Drivers to conduct CDL training classes. JCCC offers commercial truck driver training courses to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A. In this role, we instruct people how to properly conduct pre-trip inspections and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. This is a part-time position. Number of workdays per month are flexible. Hours are based on course schedules and could include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as available.
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential. Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.
