Starting Salary Range:  $55,113.00-$71,677.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: The Integrated Education and Training (IET) Program Coordinator supports JCCC mission by providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and personnel management for the college’s contextualized adult education and workforce development pathways. The coordinator is responsible for recruiting, supervising, and evaluating instructional staff; developing and aligning curriculum with state and federal standards; and cultivating high-impact partnerships with local employers and community workforce agencies. Additionally, the role ensures institutional compliance with Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) reporting mandates, manages program and grant budgets, and oversees the complete student lifecycle from recruitment and enrollment transitions to career readiness and employment placement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Strong math and English skills.
  • Marketing & promotional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in career-technical education.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver instruction designed to improve English language acquisition skills and soft skills for academic and workplace success.
  • Knowledge of college admissions processes.

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Program Operations, Compliance, & Fiscal Management:
    • Manage all day-to-day operations of the IET (Integrated Education and Training) program, including current onsite employer programming.
    • Monitor, maintain, and report on program budgets, and identify or write grants to secure supplemental funding.
    • Develop, maintain, and audit accurate recordkeeping and student tracking systems to capture personal qualification and academic performance data.
    • Ensure all institutional, state of Kansas industry board certifications, and KBOR (Kansas Board of Regents) compliance and reporting deadlines are met with quality and timeliness.
  • Personnel Management & Instructional Supervision:
    • Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise English Language Instructors and instructional staff for co-taught, supplemental, and employer-site classes.
    • Coordinate instructional activities, teaching schedules, and collaboration between IET and CTE (Career and Technical Education) instructors.
    • Monitor, observe, and evaluate team-teaching environments in all courses to maintain instructional quality.
  • Curriculum Development & Academic Pathway Innovation:
    • Evaluate current JCCC CTE programs and workforce trends to design, identify, and launch new IET program options and pathways for non-native students.
    • Collaborate and plan with content-area instructors to design customized, contextualized English language support curricula tailored to specific industry credentials.
    • Incorporate English Language Proficiency Standards and College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education into classroom instruction.
    • Analyze student performance data and learning outcomes to continuously adjust and improve instructional delivery. 
  • Community Partnerships, Marketing, & Outreach:
    • Initiate, build, and maintain effective collaborative relationships with existing and prospective employer partners, community leaders, and local workforce agencies (e.g., Workforce Partnership, Great Jobs KC, DCF).
    • Meet with key stakeholders to determine course alignment, industry expectations, and post-completion job opportunities.
    • Design and execute marketing strategies, outreach events, and promotional materials (including student success stories) to build awareness and promote JCAE/IET enrollment.
    • Participate in institutional and community meetings, professional workshops, and conferences to update knowledge on immigrant student onboarding and workforce trends.
  • Student Recruitment, Transitions, & Career Services:
    • Recruit prospective students from JCCC Adult Education programs (ELL & English Connection) and the broader community into technical and certificate pathways.
    • Partner with Transition Coaches to support students through the JCCC admissions process, ensuring all enrollment deadlines and guidelines are met.
    • Provide comprehensive, hands-on career readiness support, including coaching students on resumes, cover letters, job search strategies, and leading mock interview sessions.
    • Communicate job leads, facilitate employment placement, and maintain follow-up contact with students as they enter new roles to support long-term retention and success.
