Starting Salary Range:  $16.31-$20.77 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College (JCCC) inspires learning to transform lives and strengthen communities. The Registration Specialist supports this mission by providing customer-focused registration and student support services for Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for registration inquiries, assists students with enrollment-related processes, and maintains accurate and secure student records in compliance with JCCC policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Student Services & Customer Support Advise students and provide customer service for Workforce Development and Continuing Education:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for registration-related inquiries.
    • Support students with course registration, withdrawals, transfers, and canceled courses.
    • Manage and respond to emails and live chat questions. Maintain detailed knowledge of courses, certificates, funding sources, discounts, and promotions.
  • Registration, Records & Data Accuracy:
    • Ensure JCCC policies are followed for student registration and records management.
    • Enter and maintain accurate student and registration data.
    • Run daily reports to verify accuracy and completeness of student records.
    • Ensure student information is secure and handled appropriately.
  • Financial Processing & Revenue Management:
    • Process student payments accurately.
    • Enter and reconcile revenue to ensure daily financial balance.
    • Support financial compliance related to registration transactions.
  • Process Improvement & Systems Expertise:
    • Perform ongoing process improvement and recommend workflow efficiencies.
    • Learn and utilize features of newly upgraded registration software.
    • Assist in adapting procedures to system updates and institutional changes. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
