Starting Salary Range: $55,113.00-$71,677.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College (JCCC) inspires learning to transform lives and strengthen communities. The Program Coordinator supports this mission by developing, managing, and promoting open enrollment courses and related instructional services. This position provides oversight of the CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and NARS (National Academy of Railroad Sciences) programs and will supervise the administrative assistant and instructors.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree.
- Strong interest in WDCE.
- Experience working with WDCE programs.
- 1+ year supervisory experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Instructor Hiring, Onboarding & Supervision:
- Hire and onboard a large team of WDCE instructors and contractors.
- Review expectations, roles, and responsibilities; address instructor questions or concerns.
- Supervise, motivate, encourage, and mentor WDCE instructors.
- Assist instructors with issues or escalations.
- Monitor staff work to ensure guidelines and procedures are followed. Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team environment.
- Training Development & Delivery:
- Support the development and delivery of training programs.
- Identify resources, schedule courses, coordinate instructors, and gather materials.
- Provide training on technology, systems, and tools relevant to each program.
- Partner with instructors and subject matter experts to develop and update curriculum and Essential materials.
- Ensure training programs remain relevant, effective, and comprehensive.
- Schedule and implement ongoing open-enrollment Essential courses.
- Program Operations & Administration:
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels between instructors and JCCC staff.
- Serve as a point of contact for training participants, addressing inquiries and providing accurate information.
- Ensure a positive learning experience for students through timely issue resolution.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standardized WDCE processes and procedures.
- Quality Assurance, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive best practices and improve overall training capabilities.
- Gather feedback from participants and instructors.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Lead efforts that promote operational excellence, continual improvement, and teamwork.
- Compliance, Records & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date program and activity records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Track program progress and performance metrics.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to support transparent, informed decision-making.
- Marketing, Enrollment & Revenue Performance:
- Assist with the development of marketing plans to promote open-enrollment programming.
- Meet established program goals and metrics, including enrollment and revenue.
- Monitor enrollment trends and program performance.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation:
- Lead the development of short-term and long-term strategies for program improvement, engagement, and growth.
- Expand variety, quality, and innovation of classes, events, and content.
- Assist in identifying resources and special projects in collaboration with other Branch areas.
- Support innovative workforce solutions and branch-wide initiatives.
