Pay Range: $1156 - $1286 per credit hour and in accordance with adjunct table.

Position Summary: The selected candidate will teach 1- 9 credit hours per semester in the Interior Design department. The selected candidate will teach ITMD prefixed course that fulfill the requirements for our AAS degree. The degree includes three built-in certificates depending on the course path chosen by the student.
This position will fill one vacancy for which the possible courses are either:
- 20/20 Kitchen and Bath software and Interior Design 1
OR
- Design Communications and Interior Design 1
This position would start in Fall of 2025. Classes will occur on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree and 5 years of industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to be a lifelong learner, particularly in the area of Interior Design.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to work independently.
- For 20/20 Kitchen and Bath software and Interior Design 1: Ability and desire to teach 20/20 software and knowledge of Chief Architect software.
- For Design Communications and Interior Design 1: Ability and desire to teach professional interior design skills such as: visual communication of design, written and oral communication skills, design process skills and time management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
- Ability and desire to teach a variety of courses that could include any of the ITMD prefixed courses (these course range from technology courses to history courses.)
- Ability to use Adobe products, such as Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
- Interior Design certification in any of the following areas: NCIDQ, AKBD, LEED or other related professional certification.
- Affiliation with Interior Design organization such as but not limited to: ASID, IIDA, IDEC, NKBA.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System and on-line teaching.
- Familiarity with the mission of community colleges as well as the diversity, goals, and learning styles of community college students.
