Assistant Professor, English Overland Park Main Campus
The English Department at Johnson County Community College is searching for a full-time Professor of English, primarily teaching college composition. The department is looking for a diverse pool of applicants to fill the position. Full-time faculty in English teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester in composition with the potential also to teach literature and creative writing courses. Our faculty are expected to be collaborative and treat all with dignity and respect; demonstrate professional, courteous behavior; and defend the free inquiry of associates. Full-time faculty in English emphasize excellent teaching while pursuing research interests and maintaining professional connections with regional and national composition, rhetoric, and literature professional organizations. The successful candidate will perform other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; participating in department, division, and college meetings; serving on committees; and other duties as assigned. Teaching assignments could be a combination of on-line, hybrid, and face-to-face classes and are subject to change as assigned. Johnson County Community College is located in Overland Park, Kansas, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. Established in 1969, JCCC now educates over 18,000 students and serves as a strong regional and national presence with other colleges and universities. Many of the students are nontraditional, military veterans, immigrants, international, and first-generation. The college is dedicated to maintaining a rich cultural community with its academic programs, an award-winning contemporary art museum, and a center for the performing arts on campus.
SRC Tutor I A&P Overland Park Main Campus
Tutor students through a variety of modalities and methods, refer students to other relevant resources, and assist with daily activities in the relevant resource center for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). The A&P tutor provides tutoring for students in Anatomy & Physiology courses. In addition to that, the tutor conducts review sessions, leads group discussions and help with learning Anatomy models.
Testing Center Assistant Substitute Overland Park Main Campus
The Regnier Testing Center Assistant serves as a proctor for the Regnier Testing Center operated by Workforce Development and Continuing Education. This position will administer proctored exams and is responsible for coordinating client testing appointments, completing check-in and check-out processes, maintaining confidentiality, and following all vendor protocols. This position is a substitute position, filling in as needed when regularly scheduled staff are unavailable.

Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Johnson County Community College is seeking experienced CDL Truck Drivers to conduct CDL training classes. JCCC offers commercial truck driver training courses to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A. In this role, we instruct people how to properly conduct pre-trip inspections and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. This is a part-time position. Number of workdays per month are flexible. Hours are based on course schedules and could include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as available.
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential. Our analog sequence includes an introduction to the field, AC/DC circuit theory (with emphasis on analysis and troubleshooting), semiconductor devices, and electronic communication systems. The applicant needs a strong knowledge of passive devices, diodes, transistors, FETs and the ability to teach students how to analyze and troubleshoot circuits and systems using contemporary test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other related equipment.
