Position Summary: The Unified Communications & Collaborations engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of advanced IT solutions for Unified Communications and Collaboration systems. This role focuses on enhancing communication through email, video conferencing, and collaborative tools tailored for the modern workplace. The engineer will provide expert technical support for across various systems, including email, calendaring, instant messaging, presence management, spam control, web conferencing, IP Telephony, video conferencing, document sharing and other enterprise-wide collaboration solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ Years of experience supporting SharePoint Online.
- 3+ Years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange On-prem or in the cloud.
- Must be well organized and capable of handling many simultaneous activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies, including VOIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Zoom).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and engage with users across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft MCSE or CCNA voice / CCVP certifications.
- Proficient in managing and monitoring Teams Phone, meetings, and certified devices by using the Microsoft Teams admin center, the
- Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management portal, and the Microsoft Call Quality Dashboard.
- Understanding of networking technology related to voice and collaboration applications.
- Proficient with PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Google email administration.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Deliver ongoing engineering support for Voice over IP (VoIP), Unified Messaging, Instant Messaging & Presence (IM&P), and web and video conferencing services to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration for users, regardless of location.
- Provide troubleshooting and end-user support for SharePoint Online, Zoom, OneDrive and other enterprise collaboration solutions, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess communication needs and implement effective solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to Unified Communications and Collaboration, making recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Document processes, workflows, and support procedures to create a knowledge base for team members and users.
- Train and support end users on best practices and features of collaboration tools to maximize usage and efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve service events, incidents, and problems, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance system performance and reliability.
