Position Summary: The College Success Department at Johnson County Community College is seeking an adjunct professor to teach one or more College Success Career Development and/or Learning Strategies classes starting Spring 2025. The position may be on campus for Tuesday/Thursday classes during daytime hours. If the need arises, training for teaching Learning Strategies is provided.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Education or Career Development related field or Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Education or related field
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Treat all members of the college community with dignity and respect demonstrating inclusivity and civility, and engage in constructive conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Zoom, Canvas/LMS systems, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Career Development Facilitator credential or the like.
  • Community College teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience teaching Learning Strategies, FYE courses, mathematics or career planning.
