Position Summary: Laboratory Technician to assist with the operation of the HVAC Technology program with emphasis on maintenance of lab areas and equipment, ordering of program supplies and preparation of class materials.

Required Qualifications: • High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current valid driver license.
• Knowledge of HVAC and construction safety.

Preferred Qualifications: • Formal training in HVAC/construction/safety related areas.
• Two years of HVAC/construction work experience

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • % - 1. Maintenance of lab areas and equipment Performance is acceptable when: a. Lab areas are kept clean of dust and free of debris. b. Lab equipment is maintained and brought to repair if needed. c. Lab tools are maintained, cleaned and organized. - (Essential)
  • % - 2. Ordering of program supplies duty Performance is acceptable when: a. Program supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner. b. Supplies ordered are accurate to what has been requested/needed. c. Requisition of purchases are made in a timely manner. - (Essential)
  • % - 3. Preparation of class materials Performance is acceptable when: a. Lab equipment is available and fully functional upon usage in class. b. Sufficient replacement consumable items are available in lab storage. c. Equipment not in use is stored appropriately. - (Essential)
