Class B CDL Driver, Oral Health on Wheels Mobile Dental Unit in Overland Park Main Campus
The primary responsibility of the CDL Driver Position is to transport the Oral Health on Wheels (OHOW) mobile dental unit from the Johnson County Community College vehicle garage to various affiliate site locations and back to the garage. This will occur 2 days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays. Other responsibilities include: 1. Oversee all pre-road inspections and notify the OHOW Coordinator and Campus Services of any issues or concerns. 2. Report and coordinate with Campus Services all necessary scheduled maintenance, records and documentation needs. 3. Operate and check the leveling system and all other mechanical systems are fully operational upon arrival and departure. 4. Secure the area around the truck and affix all safety handrails for entrance in the vehicle. 5. Responsible for attaching the shoreline, filling the water holding tanks and emptying the wastewater each day. 6. Refuel and wash the truck as needed.

Adjunct Professor, Medical Information Revenue Management in Overland Park Main Campus
Teach courses in Medical Information and Revenue Management (MIRM), including medical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and reimbursement methodologies. Integration of industry experience provides the most relevant learning experience and is expected for each course. Courses vary in delivery times, please inquire. Faculty will be required to participate in department professional development activities, prepare and manage coursework, and meet deadlines for grading and attendance.

The Student Media Staff members support JCCC mission by being responsible for the multi-platform storytelling and promotion of The Messenger, the college’s official student news website. This role offers a professional-grade laboratory environment where student incumbents apply skills in journalism, digital media production, and marketing to engage a diverse campus audience. Working within a collaborative newsroom structure, the incumbent will specialize in a specific medium—such as social media management, investigative reporting, photography, or digital design—while gaining cross-functional experience in professional media tools and AP style standards. When applying, in the cover, letter please express interest in one or more of the following positions: Social media production editor: The social media production editor is responsible for content creation, branding content, news content and social media management on all social media platforms, excluding Youtube. Social media news reporter: Relay campus news on social media through vertical video and text. Copy editor: Oversees all proofreading and AP style adherence of all written content, which includes articles, videos and previews for podcasts and videos. Senior photographer: Captures still and video images of news and sports on campus, while working with reporters and editors to supply images for digital stories and the print. Senior designer and illustrator: Creates illustrations, including infographics, and other visual explainers, as well as designs print products, including fliers and the semi-annual magazine. Video/audio editor: Uses non-linear editing software to edit raw videos, podcasts (both video and audio-only) into cohesive, timely and accessible content. News reporter (3): Covers campus news, life and sports through features, previews, and other creative topics to engage our diverse campus. PR/Marketing: The PR/Marketing hire will work to get the word out about The Messenger by planning events, tabling, building partnerships and collaborations with other campus organizations, and this hire will have a say in social media content. Podcast producer: Creates content concepts for multiple weekly podcasting shows by working with Messengers editors and reporters. Also needs to be active on campus to meet with people to bring on the show.
