Adjunct French Professor in Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a French adjunct professor to teach Elementary level French language. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Foreign Language Department to serve as a substitute or teach Elementary and Intermediate French in the day or evening in the summer, spring or fall semesters in person and live online (Zoom). The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job may teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours or serve as a substitute professor. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for French language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates will be interviewed and will be asked to demonstrate a 30-minute class in person or on Zoom.

Compensation Specialist in Overland Park Main Campus
The Compensation Specialist supports JCCC by performing administration, maintenance, and analysis of compensation programs to ensure accurate, competitive, and equitable employee pay practices. This role is responsible for maintaining HR and compensation data within HR systems, processing employee transactions, and supporting compensation-related projects and reporting. The incumbent would assist with job evaluations, position management, and the development of salary offers for new hires and internal promotions. This role contributes to the administration of compensation programs, including the annual salary increase process, and participates in external compensation surveys and market research. The incumbent will work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and leadership to resolve data and process issues, ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies, and maintain accurate compensation records and provide customer service to employees and leaders by responding to compensation-related inquiries and assisting with analyses that inform compensation decisions.
