Adjunct Instructor - Health and Wellness Overland Park Main Campus
The Health and Wellness Department is seeking adjunct faculty to teach credit physical education and wellness activity courses within the department curriculum. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants to fill several classes. These classes vary by semester but may include any activity courses we offer. Including by not limited to: Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Weight Training, Self Defense etc. These courses are taught every semester and may vary with regards to time and days each semester.
Adjunct Faculty, HVAC Overland Park Main Campus
The ideal candidate for Adjunct Assistant Professor HVAC, will have working knowledge and experience working with heat pumps, furnaces, and air conditioning equipment. This position requires the availability to teach between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm. Monday and Wednesday nights OR Tuesdays and Thursday nights.
Non - Credit Continuing Education Instructor - Heavy Equipment Operator Overland Park Main Campus
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to conduct non-credit training classes. In this part-time role, instructors will assist in creating and updating content, teach non-credit students how to safely operate various pieces of heavy equipment, and be a liaison with off-site externship sites. Training will be delivered through actual hands-on equipment in a field situation and/or in a classroom on a simulator. Heavy equipment will consist of the following: Skid Steer Mini-Excavator Wheel (Front End) Loader Forklift Backhoe
Student Admissions Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
The Student Admissions Ambassador at JCCC serves as a primary receptionist by greeting all guests and visiting campus community members. The Admissions Ambassador ensures that visitors are acknowledged and that they feel welcome. The Admissions Ambassadors support the Recruitment Coordinator and recruitment team. An integral component of the job is working as part of a team of students and recruitment staff to provide quality tours and visit experiences for all college guests. The Admissions Ambassador is a highly visible student employee who will have a vast array of knowledge about the Student Services and Engagement as well as academic and support programs across campus to provide accurate information to visitors. The Admissions Ambassadors will be a part of a collaborative recruitment department that supports coworkers by utilizing available computer systems and technology to maintain accurate databases and information for reporting purposes.
Senior Internal Auditor Overland Park Main Campus
The Senior Internal Auditor will play a key role in managing and optimizing internal audit activities at Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Reporting to the Director of Audit and Advisory Services, this position is responsible for leading and executing internal audits, assessing compliance with regulations, identifying risks, and recommending process improvements. The Senior Auditor will also collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. CDL A Instructor – Truck Driver Trainer Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is seeking experienced CDL Truck Drivers to conduct CDL training classes. JCCC offers commercial truck driver training courses to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A. In this role, we instruct people how to properly conduct pre-trip inspections and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. This is a part-time position. Number of workdays per month are flexible. Hours are based on course schedules and could include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as available.
Student Life Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
Student Life Ambassadors (SLA) assist in the development and implementation of programs that foster student engagement and belonging at JCCC. Additionally, this position helps perform the day-to-day functions associated with the operations of Student Life offices and are hired for one of the below teams: - Center for Student Involvement: Clubs & Organizations – Get Involved @ JCCC engagement portal - Student Lounge: living room of the campus – gaming consoles & equipment check-out. - Student Engagement Desk/Student Activities: Student ID Cards & College Switchboard - Student Basic Needs Center: Cav Cupboard food pantry, emergency housing/transportation assistance or other hardships.
Police Officer Overland Park Main Campus
Provide law enforcement and public safety services to the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) community. This includes enforcement of criminal statutes with full arrest authority, parking and traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, prosecution support, non-criminal public safety services, and enforcement of college policies, rules, and regulations.
