Adjunct Assistant Professor, Automation Engineer Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The Industrial Maintenance/Automation program is seeking a qualified candidate for Adjunct. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses within this program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics) during both daytime and evening hours, as well as participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Required Skills: Thorough knowledge of NEC Ability to use curriculum to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment. Knowledge of safety in the industrial maintenance field. Ability to work with a variety of industrial tools and operations including pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting. Preferred Skills: Industry recognized certification. At least two years of experience teaching in a vocational setting. Prior experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles.
Adjunct Professor Interior Design Overland Park Main Campus
Teach 1–9 credit hours per semester in the Interior Design program. Primary teaching needs are Interior Design I, Interior Design Software I, and Interior Design Software II. Additional assignments may include other Interior Design courses depending on program need and candidate expertise.
Non-Credit Continuing Ed Instructor - Foreign Languages Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College Continuing Education is seeking enthusiastic and culturally aware instructors to teach non-credit foreign language courses for adult learners. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are passionate about language, culture, and lifelong learning. Adjunct Japanese Professor Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a Japanese adjunct professor to substitute and/or teach Elementary and Intermediate level Japanese language courses in the evening on Zoom or in person. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours per semester in Japanese or will serve as a substitute for day and/or evening courses. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for Japanese language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates will be interviewed using zoom and will be asked to demonstrate a 30 minute Zoom class.
