Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: The Psychology Department at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is looking for Adjunct Faculty who can teach psychology courses in person and/or online formats following departmental guidelines for the courses. Preference will be given to successful candidates who can teach in person during the day, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Courses are taught on an "as needed" basis. Courses to be taught include Introduction to Psychology, Human Development, Psychological Statistics, and/or Research Methods in Psychology. Adjunct Faculty need to be a resident Kansas or Missouri and need to be able to attend occasional meetings on campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Review of applicants will begin immediately.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Psychology or a Psychology related field, e.g., Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.
- At least one year of experience teaching a psychology course at the college level.
- Understanding and use of a Learning Management System, e.g., Canvas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Psychology or a Psychology related field.
- Experience teaching Introduction to Psychology, Human Development, Psychological Statistics, and/or Research Methods in Psychology.
- At least one year of community college teaching experience.
- Understanding and use of the Canvas Learning Management System.
- Willingness to teach in person during the day, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
