Position Summary: This internship is designed to provide a student at JCCC practical experience working at Johnson County Community College's Farm as well as with JCCC's Center for Sustainability on a variety of projects. Successful applicant must be willing to do farm work as well as office work.
Required Qualifications:
• JCCC student.
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to conduct duties in a friendly, discreet and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR along with background check.
• Travel required within local area and on campus.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with the use of designated moving equipment and/or other assistance.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- To provide labor and learn the development of the farms operations. Performance is acceptable when: a. Work is performed in a safe and efficient manner. b. Tasks are completed to the satisfaction of the job requirements. c. Employee is involved in day to day planning and is actively learning the planning process for sustainable market farming.
- To learn and conduct proper marketing of products for a sustainable farming operation Performance is acceptable when: a. Tasks are completed to the satisfaction of the job requirements. c. Interactions with campus and community are positive and meaningful.
- Operate and maintain clean, orderly facilities and equipment, in a safe manner. Performance is acceptable when: a. Areas are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe fashion. c. Issues are clearly communicated that arise from a lack of clean, orderly and safe operations.
