SLAs are also essential to the day‑to‑day functions of Student Life, ensuring our spaces, services, and events run smoothly and feel welcoming to all.
SLAs are hired to support one of four teams:
Center for Student Involvement – Clubs & Organizations: Empower student leaders, support clubs, and help students get involved through the Get Involved @ JCCC engagement portal.
Student Lounge: Serve in the “living room” of campus by providing gaming checkout, supporting casual and competitive play, and helping host fun and inclusive events where students can relax, recharge, and connect.
Student Engagement Desk / Student Activities: Be the friendly first stop for Student IDs, the college switchboard, and the coordination of major campuswide student events.
Student Basic Needs Center: Support the Cav Cupboard Food Pantry, Equipment Loan Program, Student Assistance Fund, and resource referrals to help students thrive in and out of the classroom.
