Pay Range:  $ 50,441- $ 63,051 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Pay Grade: 55.55

Position Summary: Provide lead accounting support for Auxiliary Services Division. The Auxiliary Services Accountant coordinates daily accounting functions, provides guidance/assistance to accounting teams, and completes specific department accounting tasks including month end close process and reporting in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assists Auxiliary Services Accounting Manager as requested.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Finance, or related field required. Minimum three years accounting and experience handling AP, AR and GL required.

General ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, basic financial statement preparation/analysis, etc., knowledge and experience required.

Strong MS Office general skills with intermediate Excel skills required.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Coordinates the daily work flow for the Auxiliary Services accounting departments and provides assistance to other accounting staff. 
  • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Coordinates accounting processes for vendor invoices/credits. 
  • ACCOUNTS RECEIVEABLE: Coordinate accounting processes for interdepartmental charges and other “outside receivables”. 
  • MONTH END CLOSE: Assists the Auxiliary Services Accounting Manager with departmental month end close process and reporting. 
  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: a. Textbook Rental Accounting: Performs assigned textbook rental accounting functions with assistance from Auxiliary Services Accounting Manager.
