Child Care Aide Overland Park Main Campus
Aid in the preparation and implementation of a program appropriate for a designated group of young children when assigned to fill in for other staff members at the Hiersteiner Child Development Center (HCDC).
Coordinator, AAC & LRC Overland Park Main Campus
The AAC LRC Tutor Coordinator supports student academic success by managing the daily operations of the tutoring programs in the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) and Language Resource Center (LRC). This position oversees tutor hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management while also serving as a liaison between the AAC/LRC and academic departments. The coordinator provides direct and indirect support to students and assists with program development and outreach. In the absence of the Director, this position helps guide center operations and supports broader academic resource initiatives.
Adjunct Instructor - Health and Wellness Overland Park Main Campus
The Health and Wellness Department is seeking adjunct faculty to teach credit physical education and wellness activity courses within the department curriculum. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants to fill several classes. These classes vary by semester, but may include any activity courses we offer. Including by not limited to: Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Weight Training, Self Defense etc. These courses are taught every semester and may vary with regards to time and days each semester. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 1-9 credit hours per semester in the HPER department. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the HPER department and other duties as assigned. Teaching assignments could be day, evening, or weekend courses, and hybrid or on line and are subject to change as needed. Additional responsibilities include: Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting health and wellness. Complete on line departmental training as needed.

Assistant Professor, English Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College is searching to fill a full-time faculty position in English (with emphases listed below). JCCC is in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. JCCC is looking for a diverse pool of applicants for this full-time faculty position. Full-time faculty in English work to strike a balance between teaching and research and have strong professional connections with regional and national composition, rhetoric, and literature professional organizations. Many of our 18,000 students are nontraditional, military veterans, immigrants, international, and first-generation college students. The successful candidate for this job will teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester in composition, with the potential to teach literature courses. The successful candidate will perform other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; participating in department, division, and college meetings; serving on committees; and other duties as assigned. Teaching assignments could be a combination of online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes and are subject to change as assigned.

Lab Instructor Fire Science Overland Park Main Campus
Teach requisite firefighting skills to prepare students for third-party state firefighter certification on four core curricula (Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Fire I, Fire II). Partner, teach, and maintain fire equipment (chain saws, ladders, breathing apparatus, personal protective gear, extrication equipment) to ensure students receive quality training.
CPAT Proctor Overland Park Main Campus
The position will direct candidates in the process of the eight steps and how to stay safe during the CPAT evaluation. The position includes equipment handling and operations. Set up and tear down of CPAT stations, and ability to teach the skills for the candidate to successfully complete the CPAT course. Must have the ability to run, climb stairs, maneuver CPAT test equipment, perform CPAT test skills demonstrating the skills for candidates. Must communicate with other staff members and candidates via written and verbal mediums. This can occur during routine and non-routine duties such as equipment set-up, prop construction and removal, CPAT installation and testing. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies. Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.

Student Support Technician Overland Park Main Campus
The Student Support Technician serves as the first point-of-contact for JCCC student support. This position is responsible for initial triage and assistance in determining the resolution of student issues, escalation of issues to higher level technical support professionals when necessary, and reporting of trends when requests appear to be out of the ordinary. The Student Support Technician will also be directly involved in the JCCC knowledge management process.
