Job Summary

The Program Director is responsible for leading all aspects of Hiersteiner Child Development Center (HCDC) operations, providing a fully accredited, high-quality program for young children and their families within a mentally and physically safe environment. Additionally, the Program Director serves as liaison between JCCC’s early childhood development program and the HCDC in order to provide a learning environment for JCCC students.


Required Qualifications

Must meet education and experience requirements for, and provide evidence of, approval from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) as a program director of a childcare center for over 100 children as defined by the KDHE.
A minimum of five years’ experience in a childcare center or preschool.
A Minimum of two years’ Supervisory experience & 2 years' administrative experience.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills along with general computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.
Experience in a nationally accredited program.
