Duties include but not limited to the following: Prepare chemical reagents and laboratory materials for each lab and all lab practical exams for all courses, including Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Communicate regularly with faculty, the Chair of Chemistry and the Dean of Science. Maintain adequate stock supplies, submit orders, and keep computer database of purchases. Maintain equipment in operational condition. Maintain chemical and equipment inventory. Keep lab areas clean and organized. Supervise federal work study and part-time lab aides. Manage inventory and sale of used lab coats and goggles. Manage and prepare chemistry lab waste for storage and disposal.
