Adjunct Faculty, Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
This position is for a part-time adjunct clinical dental hygiene instructor. The adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct students in Clinical Dental Hygiene while they provide dental hygiene treatment in the clinic. The position may also include Friday labs (radiology, local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide sedation labs). The clinical position need varies Monday -Thursdays from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm. The contract pay is for a nine (9) hour day that includes 8.5 hours of clinical teaching time and a 30 minute lunch time calibration. Contract pay for Friday labs will be based on the number of hours worked. This position could also potentially serve as a substitute when other part-time or full-time faculty are unable to work and/or there is an emergency need to fill.
Staff Dentist, Dental Hygiene Overland Park Main Campus
The Staff Dentist is a integral member of the Dental Hygiene Program who works in collaboration with the supervising dental hygiene faculty in treating patients scheduled for care in the JCCC dental hygiene on-site clinical facility. This current position is for Mondays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm that will begin in the fall 2026 semester. The Staff Dentist will supervise, mentor and assist students in evaluations for health records, restorative charting, caries risk, occlusion and radiographic surveys. Specifically, the dentist’s role includes: *Performing an initial and periodic examination on patients presenting for periodontal maintenance *Providing a dental diagnosis for each patient *Making referrals for care beyond dental hygiene needs *Consulting on complex medical histories *Preparing prescriptions as needed *Reviewing radiographs with students and discussing the patient’s caries risk assessment and dental needs *Grading radiographs as indicated *Utilization of an Electronic Record and Digital Imaging Systems *Learning and following all JCCC clinical policies and procedures and the operation of the Dental Management System
Morning Lead Custodian Overland Park Main Campus
The Lead Custodian supports JCCC by serving as a vital link between management and the custodial staff, balancing hands-on maintenance with frontline supervision. This role is responsible for coordinating daily assignments, leading special project teams, and ensuring that all facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Beyond performing routine cleaning and specialized floor care, the Team Lead provides essential training and support to staff, monitors inventory levels and assists in the execution of facility events and furniture reconfigurations. The incumbent ensures a safe working environment by enforcing protocols and providing performance feedback to help the team achieve operational excellence.

Beyond routine cleaning, the Custodian supports campus operations through event setup, furniture relocation, and seasonal grounds maintenance such as snow removal.

Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The faculty member is expected to demonstrate competence in mastery of subject matter, professional development, teaching performance, evaluation of student learning, participation in college/division/program activities, support college policies and procedures, and contribution to the growth and enhancement of college mission and programs. JCCC is searching for non-credit instructors to teach English to non-native speakers by emphasizing reading, vocabulary development, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in a student-centered classroom environment at JCAE locations. Please note that these positions are not located on the main JCCC campus. They are located at our West Park and Center of Grace locations. These positions are for an ELL instructor, not adjunct positions. * Create and submit weekly lesson plans, utilizing the digital template provided, to the building lead. * Learn and implement the required curriculum that emphasizes life skills, workplace skills, digital literacy, civics/citizenship and more. . * Access and utilize the JCAE ELL website and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Maintain student data, attendance records and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Conference with learners at the beginning and end of the semester to discuss goals and growth. * Participate in new student intake onboarding such as registration, orientation, and testing. * Participate in staff development activities both online and in-person each semester. * Completing all JCCC annual mandatory training and administrative requirements, as well as additional onboarding requirements for JCAE new teachers. These requirements may involve account setup, website access, lesson plan training, LMS training, data entry, and other tasks to prepare for the class. * Access email regularly and read Weekly Updates to stay informed of expectations and upcoming events. * Work with the building lead to schedule a formal observation. This will be followed by a debrief, and a follow up observation to confirm that recommendations have been implemented. * Fill-in periodically for other teachers. Daytime and Evening shifts available.
Evening English Connection Instructor West Park (WPK)
Provide English instruction to students who are transitioning from basic life-skill English classes into GED-level academic coursework, college transition or higher career placement. Instruction will be in reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary development, civics, and digital literacy at an intermediate to low-advanced level. Development of daily lesson plans to keep student attention, adhere to state and local academic standards and increase student success. Facilitate standardized testing for benchmarking. Evening Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor West Park (WPK)
Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study.
